Jeopardy! Masters winner Yogesh Raut revealed what the camaraderie was like between him, Juveria Zaheer and Victoria Groce.
Jeopardy! posted an interview with Yogesh after he won Jeopardy! Masters season 3. When the discussion turned to defeating Juveria Zaheer and Victoria Groce, the champion revealed what the camaraderie was like between the three of them. He explained, “Even though we had to compete against each other, compared to the world at large, we have more in common with each other than we do with the rest of the world in many ways. We’re all kindred spirits.”
Yogesh added that when filming an episode of Jeopardy! the other contestants are definitely competitors since “you’re fighting against each other.” However, it’s more of a friendly competition since they’re all in the same boat. Regarding the competitive nature of their friendship, Yogesh admitted that it’s pointless to feel spiteful towards each other.
“You all work so hard and a few milliseconds on the buzzer is what’s going to make the difference,” he said. “If it goes to you, great. If it doesn’t, it goes to one of your friends.” In other words, Juveria and Victoria are not mad that he defeated him. In fact, Yogesh added that if the outcome had turned out differently and either Juveria or Victor had won, then “they would’ve deserved it.”
