Jeopardy! Masters season 3 finalist Isaac Hirsch, who placed fourth in the 2025 tournament, revealed if he’ll return to the show in the future after he exceeded his own expectations during the season.
In an Instagram post, Isaac revealed that he doesn’t think that he’ll be invited back to Jeopardy! any time soon, even though he performed much better than he thought that he would during Jeopardy! Masters season 3. He began by saying, “That’s a wrap on Jeopardy Masters!”
Isaac continued, “This Jeopardy Masters season had something for everyone. People who like me got to watch me improbably go on a run to get 4th place in the whole thing, taking home $100,000. People who don’t like me got to watch me get my butt kicked a whole bunch by people who are much, much better at Jeopardy (and trivia!) than I am. Obviously, losing a bunch of games in not-particularly-competitive fashion isn’t exactly the most fun you can have on the Alex Trebek stage, but I still had a few good moments over the course of the tournament.“
Isaac added that he was so happy for Yogesh, Juveria, and Victoria for their amazing performances in Jeopardy! Masters season 3. He said, “It was a lot of fun to see the contestants I already knew again, and meet the ones I hadn’t. Everyone was extremely nice and welcoming, and I’m thrilled for all three finalists, who are incredibly deserving and smart.”
Isaac also expressed gratitude to the people who helped him during his Jeopardy! journey, writing, “I’m also grateful for my support system through all of this. My family is the whole reason I was even able to go on Jeopardy in the first place. My friends have been endlessly patient and supportive through a year full of Jeopardy watching gatherings. Of course, the teachers and coaches I’ve had throughout my life are responsible for a lot of the knowledge I retain in my rapidly deteriorating brain.”
In addition, Isaac included a special message for his girlfriend, Victoria. He wrote, “But of course, the biggest supporter I have is my wonderful girlfriend Victoria, who has sat through so much in-studio Jeopardy over the past year that she could probably help them make the show at this point.”
What Isaac Hirsch’s Prediction About Jeopardy! Return Means
Isaac Might Take A Jeopardy! Break
Isaac’s prediction about not returning to Jeopardy! any time soon makes sense because, as of now, he doesn’t qualify for Jeopardy! Masters season 4 because he didn’t place in the season 3 Top 3, even though he performed so well against Jeopardy! legends Yogesh, Juveria, Victoria, Matt Amodio, Roger Craig, Brad Rutter, Adriana, and Neilesh.

Jeopardy! fans are demanding that the game show do something about an annoying trend that’s happening during the Final Jeopardy! round.
If Jeopardy! Masters season 4 follows the same format as season 3, then Isaac would only be able to qualify by placing in the Top 3 of the Jeopardy! Invitational Tournament or by taking someone’s place if a contestant drops out, like when James Holzhauer declined his invitation and Brad stepped in. This is because he won’t be playing in the 2026 Tournament of Champions either. Isaac seems to realize that he might not be back on Jeopardy! in the near future, so it’s great that he’s happy with his performance in Jeopardy! Masters season 3.
Our Take On Isaac Hirsch Returning To A Future Jeopardy! Tournament
Isaac Is A Fan Favorite Player & So Much Fun To Watch

With his entertaining personality and throwback wardrobe, Isaac has become a Jeopardy! fan favorite. He was very impressive during his original run and the Tournament of Champions, but I was especially impressed with how he performed during Jeopardy! Masters season 3. I was shocked when he knocked Jeopardy! icon Matt out of the competition, and ended up placing fourth. I hope to see Isaac in a future Jeopardy! tournament because he’s such a phenomenal player.
