Thanks to his major win, James took home a whopping $500,000 with Mattea winning $250,000, and Matt winning $150,000.
Posted on the US game show’s social media accounts, episodes of Jeopardy! Masters will begin on Wednesday, May 1 at 8 pm on ABC – just one hour later than the originally scheduled airtime.
After its premiere, the episodes will air on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays.
The semifinals will begin on Friday, May 17 with the finale airing on May 22.

Also listed on the blue schedule was host Ken Jenning’s birthday on May 23.
‘REGULAR PEOPLE EPISODES’
As many fans commented on their excitement for the huge competition, others missed the regularly scheduled programming.
“Can we do more regular people episodes?” one questioned on the show’s Instagram post, “There have been so many tournaments it seems lately I’m like when are getting more new people.”
A second said, “Great so a thing that shouldn’t be a thing is happening again. Seeing basically the same people over and over again is ridiculous.”
“Who cares?” a third raged.

On Jeopardy’s post on X, formerly Twitter, more fans shared their honest thoughts.
One user commented, “You are reaching the over-saturation point!”
“I am tired of all this tournament play,” said another.
That said, critics can rest easy since Masters airs in ABC primetime and will not interfere with regular episodes.
WHO WILL WIN?
As the premiere of the newest Jeopardy Masters season is just two weeks away, fans have already begun to place bets on who will win this time around.

Here’s a few tidbits about the Jeopardy! Masters Tournament
Jeopardy! Masters is the brainchild of executive producer, Michael Davies.
Season 2 of the Jeopardy! Masters’ Tournament kickstarts on Wednesday, May 1, according to the ABC network.
Jeopardy! Masters Season 1 champion James Holzhauer is expected to take the throne again.
James competes against Amy Schneider; Matt Amodio; Mattea Roach; Yogesh Raut; and Victoria Groce.
During the first Masters, James won the $500,000 grand prize, the Trebek Trophy, which is named after the late host Alex Trebek, and an additional $100,000 for Project 150.
Project 150 helps Las Vegas-area high school students with insecure housing.
The prize money for last year’s Jeopardy! Masters:
1st Place – $500,000 and the “Trebek Trophy” (James)
2nd Place – $250,000
3rd Place – $150,000
4th Place – $100,000
5th Place – $75,000
6th Place – $50,000
During the tournament, James told Ken to “keep it in your pants” during one NSFW moment.
James also challenged Ken to a “rematch” in another joke.
In a Jeopardy-themed Reddit forum, viewers have shared their picks, and many have chosen James to beat the competition.
However, newcomer Victoria may give James a run for his money.
“Victoria really impressed me with her buzzer skills when she was on Jeopardy’s Invitational Tournament,” one fan revealed.
“James has an overwhelming lead in the poll, but I think Victoria is going to surprise people.”
A second commented, “Either Victoria or James. James is almost as good and I think faster.
“His speed gives him the advantage in running up a big lead.”

Earlier this month, Victoria was the very first winner of another spin-off series, Jeopardy’s Invitational Tournament against Amy Schneider and Andrew He.
