Jeopardy! favorite Drew Goins responds after fans call out his ‘R-rated’ wardrobe malfunction on Second Chance show

JEOPARDY! contestant Drew Goins has responded to fan comments about his wardrobe malfunction on Monday evening’s Second Chance tournament.

The Hawaii-based journalist crushed the competition and ended the game with a jaw-dropping $36,801- but viewers were talking about more than just his final score.

Drew distracted fans in his thin see-through turtleneck.

“Drew’s nipples were poking through this shirt,” one follower on Reddit said.

“Am I the only one who sees nothing but Drew’s nipples nearly every time he is on screen?” asked another.

“Definitely R-rated, but I loved it,” said a third.

Drew took to Instagram to address the malfunction.

“Sloppy seconds. Catch me and my nipples in the @jeopardy Second Chance Competition,” he cheekily posted.

Drew’s friends chimed in to roast him.

“And the tight sweater is nice. Cold in the studio?” one joked.

DREW’S VICTORY

Despite the distraction, Jeopardy! viewers were “super impressed” with Drew’s gameplay.

He also was able to redeem himself from his first episode by nailing a Taylor Swift clue.

“In 2014, Taylor Swift gave us this album named after a different year,” host Ken Jennings said.

“What is 1989!” Drew screamed, and the audience burst into applause.

Jeopardy! Universe

Jeopardy! first aired in 1964 until 1975. Then the nighttime version began in 1974. Since then, many spinoffs of the game show have emerged. Here they all are:

Jeopardy! – (syndicated) 1974 to present, weekdays on ABC at 7 pm ET.

Tournament of Champions – 1984 to present, features the top champions who have appeared on the show since the last tournament.

Second Chance Tournament – 2022 to present features hand-selected non-winners from the season prior, where the prize is entry into Champions Wildcard.

Champions Wildcard – 2023 to present, features all one, two and three-day champions from the season prior worth entry into the Tournament of Champions.

Jeopardy! Invitational Tournament (syndication) – 2023 to present, features past greats invited by producers to vie for a slot in Masters.

Jeopardy! Masters (primetime) – 2023 to present, features the six highest-ranked Jeopardy! champions competing against each other.

Celebrity Jeopardy! (primetime) – 1992 to present, has celebrities compete against each other to raise money for charity.

Pop Culture Jeopardy (streaming) – 2024 to present, will feature teams of three tasked with pop culture trivia on Amazon Prime, hosted by Colin Jost, airdate TBD

Jeopardy! has done away with specialized tournaments like its College Tournaments, Kids Week, and Professor’s Tournament to gear towards a more sports-like model, with Masters being the top of the Jeopardy pyramid.

Other versions of Jeopardy! have fizzled out throughout the years as well, like Sports Jeopardy!.

Earlier in the episode, Drew said his brother punished him for blanking on a question about Taylor’s album Fearless during a September show.

“I got a Taylor Swift question wrong, and went home worried that the Swifties would come rip me out of my bed one night, but it turns out the angriest Swiftie was my brother, who’s here today,” he said.

“The night before taping, he had prepared an entire practice board for me, and it was entirely Taylor Swift.”

Drew will return to the small screen after securing a spot in the preliminary round of the Second Chance tournament.
