Jeopardy! fans left ‘annoyed’ over ‘easy’ Final Jeopardy clue ALL contestants missed

Jeopardy! viewers were left ‘annoyed’ over an ‘easy’ clue during the Final Jeopardy portion of the trivia game during Monday’s episode.

It comes shortly after fans became furious when last week’s episode failed to air following an unannounced schedule change.

Contestants Mark Fitzpatrick, Amanda Prusila and Daniel Gately were left ‘stumped’ when trying to solve a clue under the category: ‘Brand Names.’

Fitzpatrick had been vastly leading with $23,000 while Daniel had $4,200 and Amanda with $600 during the third and final round.

Host Ken Jennings shared that the clue was, ‘In 1886 this brand’s bookkeeper came up with its name & flowing script logo, saying, “The two Cs would look well in advertising.”‘

After a moment of deliberation, the contestants shared their written guesses to the clue – with the host revealing that they had all incorrectly answered.

Prusila had written Coco Chanel and wagered $0, while Daniel guessed Currier. Similar to Amanda, Gately also wagered $0.

The leader during the night, Mark, wagered $3,400 but also answered Coco Chanel – dropping him down to an even $20,000.

When the contestants were unable to solve the clue, Jennings then shared the answer was Coca-Cola.

Fans who had tuned into the latest episode soon flocked to social media to share their thoughts and confusion over the contestants missing the ‘easy’ question.

‘I immediately knew it when it came up. So annoyed with the contestants!’ one viewer wrote on YouTube.

Another penned, ‘It is mind boggling that they all three did not get that one correct. Probably the easiest FJ question in a very long time.’

One also added, ‘Another FJ that should have just been a low dollar category question. Shocking they all missed it.’

Others jumped to X, formerly known as Twitter, to share how they were able to quickly solve the clue.

‘My biggest flex is that I got the final question on jeopardy right when none of them could figure it out,’ a fan wrote, and another shared, ‘what was so confusing about the final jeopardy clue?’

‘Geez, none of the Jeopardy contestants got Final Jeopardy and I said the answer before the commercial break without the actual clue, lol,’ a viewer added.

One shared, ‘Nothing makes you feel smarter than watching 3 contestants on Final Jeopardy get “Coke A Cola” wrong Lol,’ while another typed, ‘Knew tonight’s final Jeopardy answer and none of the contestants got it.’

A fan also wrote, ‘I cannot believe that no one got the Final Jeopardy answer correct. It was so easy. #Jeopardy #MondayThoyghts.’

‘Easiest final jeopardy of all time tonight and NONE OF THE THREE CONTESTANTS GOT IT im going insane,’ a viewer added.

‘How is this a final jeopardy question??? this is an insult to the game,’ one fan penned alongside a screenshot of the episode.

However, another viewer admitted to also not being able to answer the clue and added, ‘I didn’t get it either. I don’t think it should have been considered an easy one.’

Others also jumped to a subreddit page to express their opinions, with one adding, ‘That final jeopardy was a triple stumper but I managed to guess right.’

Earlier this year in July during a previous Jeopardy! episode, viewers were left in shock over ‘brutal’ questions asked by Jennings.

Some voiced concerns that the longtime game show on ABC had become ‘way too difficult.’

During the category, Cybertalk, three contestants were able to solve only one out of five clues.

One of the clues was: ‘It’s the two-word term for the physical separation of a computer system from others, and a good way to protect against hacking.’ Ken later revealed the answer was ‘air gap.’

Fans jumped to Reddit, with one penning, ‘I’ll never be on Jeopardy but man what a rough night to be on, category wise. Brutal.’

Another viewer wrote, ‘God d**n that was a rough set of clues. Not just for the contestants either – there were so many responses I’ve never heard of in my life.’

One also added, ‘Is that a record for the most unanswered questions? That was insanity.’

Others have slammed the bosses for ‘dumbing down’ questions for contestants in the past on the syndicated show.

A baseball game, basketball game, and special political report instead took the place of the trivia game show.

In August, it was also revealed that host Ken Jennings ‘has no intention’ of stepping away from his hosting duties on the hit game competition show despite swirling rumors that he could be axed.

The TV personality – who was speculated to possibly be replaced by SNL comedian Colin Jost – became the sole permanent host during the show’s 40th season.

After Jost was named the host for the spinoff Pop Culture Jeopardy! and following criticism from fans, rumors arose that Jennings could lose his role as host on the flagship series.
