Jason Kelce reveals the surprising rule wife Kylie imposed to keep household peace
The former Philadelphia Eagles star admitted that he is a better person when he follows this rule.

Kylie and Jason Kelce went out to Paris to enjoy the Olympic Games.
Jason Kelce, the former Philadelphia Eagles star, has revealed the one rule his wife Kylie has laid down to ensure harmony at home, and it’s not what you’d expect.
During a candid chat on the “Green Light with Chris Long” podcast, the 36-year-old NFL retiree shared the surprising ultimatum Kylie, 32, recently put in place. To keep everyone in their household happy, Jason is required to work out “a minimum of three days a week.”
This isn’t just about staying in shape-it’s about maintaining the peace. Jason confessed, “When I’ve worked out, I am in a great mood. I interact well with my kids and everybody… I’m just a better person.”
But when he skips a workout? He admits he feels off, like he’s “not really being productive for the day.” Kylie’s rule seems to be as much about Jason’s mental well-being as it is about physical fitness.
Former athletes need exercise
Chris Long, a former teammate, and fellow retired NFL player Brent Celek, agreed with Jason on how vital exercise is for former athletes. Long pointed out that after leaving the game, many retired football players “struggle” because they’re no longer getting that daily dose of physical activity that impacts everything from dopamine levels to how they wake up in the morning.
As much as Kelce understands the importance of exercise, he also knew it was time to hang up his cleats after the 2023-2024 NFL season. After years of contemplating retirement, his body finally gave him the message loud and clear: it was time to stop.
In a People magazine interview in June, Jason explained, “I don’t think I could play another season at the way I want to and the way that’s going to make me happy.”
Will Jason and Kylie expand their family?
With football now behind him, Jason’s future seems focused on family. He and Kylie, who tied the knot in 2018, are parents to three daughters-Wyatt, 4, Elliotte, 3, and Bennett, 16 months.
And while they’re rotating hand-me-downs for their girls, both Jason and Kylie have hinted that a fourth child might be in the cards. “It’s not my decision,” Jason told People in July. “Whatever Kylie’s comfortable with.”
So, as Jason adjusts to life after football, it’s clear that his home life-governed by Kylie’s practical rule-will keep him grounded, happy, and healthy.
