JADE says ‘f*** you’ to JK Rowling during festival performance
It comes a a response to the author’s transphobic comments.
JADE has told JK Rowling to f*** off during a festival performance.
The BRIT winner was performing her new single FUFN at Mighty Hoopla festival in London yesterday when she called out the author.
While performing on the festival’s main stage, the former Little Mix star began a chant before performing her new single FUFN (which stands for f*** you for now).
The 32-year-old yelled ‘homophobes’ and ‘transphobes’ before saying ‘JK Rowling’ to all of which the crowd chanted back ‘f*** you’.

This comes as a response to the Harry Potter author’s transphobic comments.
The 58-year-old first made controversial comments about the transgender community in 2019 and has since then published and retweeted several posts of a transphobic nature.
Although she has denied being transphobic, Rowling said she would ‘happily’ go to prison for misgendering a trans person rather than referring to them by their preferred pronouns.
Additionally, she celebrated the decision of the UK Supreme Court to redefine ‘woman’ and ‘sex’ under the 2010 Equality Act as solely referring to biological sex assigned at birth.
JADE has always been a supporter of the LGBTQ+ community, and in a recent interview with Gayety she said she ‘can’t sit back and not be vocal about defending that community’.
“I’ve always been quite vocal, and I’m not always going to get it right. But you can’t be a pop artist right now without speaking out about certain things.
“We’re seeing an attack on the trans community, and I have a very big LGBTQ+ fanbase.
“I can’t sit back and not be vocal about defending that community. I’m happy to pay the consequences if it means doing the right thing,” she continued.
Fans on X reacted to the performance, with one writing: “Well done. More people need to say that to Rowling.”
Another posted: “She’s so real for this what an icon.”
