The Voice UK final faced a wave of criticism from viewers on Saturday night (October 26) when audiences issued the same complaint about the 2024 final.
In the concluding showdown of the popular ITV talent spectacle, competitors Deb Orah, Storry, Ava, Billy, and Louie vied for the title, each aspiring to snag the top prize and a hefty cash award.
Legendary music figures and The Voice mentors, Sir Tom Jones, Will. i. am, and LeAnn Rimes, alongside McFly’s Tom Fletcher and Danny Jones, settled into their iconic chairs one last time this season in anticipation of their protege clinching the win.
Ultimately, McFly’s dynamic duo, Tom and Danny, celebrated as their contestant, Ava, wowed both judges and the live audience, securing her triumph as The Voice UK 2024’s victor, reports the Mirror.
With her victory, Ava not only nabbed the prestigious trophy but also scored a lucrative recording contract with Universal, a cool £50,000, and an exotic holiday to Universal Resort in Orlando.

Ava’s name now joins the illustrious list of previous champions like Leanne Mitchell, Molly Hocking, and Kevin Simm. Despite Ava’s deserving to win, viewers at home expressed dissatisfaction over The Voice’s revamped format, which saw the public vote axed in favor of granting sole voting authority to those present in the studio.
Displeased fans immediately turned to social platform X, previously known as Twitter, to vent their frustrations. A disgruntled viewer commented: “Despite it being a s*** format with no public vote, the right person won! Well done, Ava #TheVoiceUK.”
Another expressed disappointment: “@hlt_ja, Well, I’d have voted for Ava, but unfortunately, the viewing public can’t vote for the winner, so that’s that then #TheVoiceUK.”
A spectator voiced their opinion on the voting process: “I think the Public should vote on #TheVoiceUK, not the audience.”
In addition, a call to action was made: “@ITV, please can we have the live finals back, giving the public the vote @thevoiceuk #thevoiceuk.”
