Indiana Fever Coach Gave Her Honest Opinion of Cameron Brink

The Indiana Fever notched their first win of the WNBA season with a victory over the Los Angeles Sparks on Friday evening.

This Fever-Sparks matchup pitted No. 1 overall pick Caitlin Clark against No. 2 overall pick Cameron Brink.

After the game, Fever head coach Christie Sides was asked to discuss the impact Clark and Brink have brought to the WNBA.

We know how Sides feels about her superstar rookie, but she also gave props to Brink in her postgame comments.

“They’re making a huge impact in our league,” Sides said.

Brink finished the closely-contested game with 15 points and nine rebounds. Clark notched 11 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists en route to the Fever’s 78-73 win.

Clark and Brink are two of the WNBA’s brightest young stars, so it should come as no surprise that Friday night’s game nearly packed out LA’s Crypto.com Arena.

“I was excited to come here and play in this place,” Clark said. “Obviously, so much history in this building. The crowd was absolutely amazing.”

Brink and the Sparks will look to bounce back from this loss in a matchup against the Dallas Wings on Sunday evening.
