Pop star Gwen Stefani is being accused of shading her ex in an anniversary post for hubby Blake Shelton as fans call the caption “faulty”.

Gwen Stefani followers are accusing the singer of throwing shade at her ex, Gavin Rossdale, after posting an anniversary tribute to husband Blake Shelton.

The pop princess took to Instagram to share memories for her three year anniversary with The Voice judge.

Stefani captioned the snaps: “July 3, 2021, it has always been you.” She included several snaps from their dreamy wedding ceremony.

Fans ran to the comments after thinking that the caption might be a dig at her ex-husband Gavin Rossdale.

The Sweet Escape singer was with Rossdale for 20 years prior to finding love with the country star.

One fan shared: “”Always?? What about 16 years with the other dude?”

“It shows so much insecurity, her need to somehow put her ex husband down in little, petty ways. It doesn’t give me a (truly) happy vibe,” a second follower posted under the flicks.

A third slammed: “Yeah this caption is faulty.”

Despite the hate from so-called fans of the pair, many of her followers shared well wishes for the happy couple’s milestone in the comments.

This included The Voice host Carson Daly, who was the officiant at their wedding ceremony in 2021, commented: “Thank you Gwen for lowering your standards to marry my pal, Blake. You are a saint.”

“So honored to have married you guys in OK too. Love you,” he finished.
