Season 26 of The Voice has already made it to its second round of Battles, i.e. episode 11, on November 4. Helmed by four esteemed panelists- the originals, Gwen Stefani and Reba McEntire, and newbies, Snoop Dogg and Micahel Bublé, the battles are always the most exciting to watch because they eliminate half the teams with duo battles.

 

Another twist in battles this season is that the contestants that the coaches don’t choose to proceed ahead, can be stolen by other coaches. Each coach is given two artist steal buttons which will take their team count to 9. The total number of contestants vying for the $100,000 cash prize and the record deal by the end of battles will be 36.

In episode 11, Camryn Brooks and Rowdy Shea from Team Gwen Stefani were pitted against each other. They sang I Remember Everything by Kacey Musgraves and Zach Bryan. By the end of the battle, Gwen made the tough call of choosing one, and she went with Camryn, thus eliminating Rowdy. Fans of The Voice flocked to X to react to their performance.

“Camryn’s voice is so pretty omg I have TEARS,” said one fan.
“After Camryn and Rowdy’s battles performance… I feel like I’m leaning toward Camryn, but Rowdy somehow takes the cake… so I don’t know what to say,” said another fan.
“Again bad song choice, but I would go with Camryn…,” a third fan added.
“Camryn Brooks vs Rowdy Shea His voice so clear it was jarring when her darker tone came in, hard 2 catch her lyrics at first. Nice contrast 4 the harmonies. Got easier to decipher. Not sure if he put the emotion across, kinda stony. She did better,” another one wrote.

Like the coaches, there was an inclination toward Camryn’s performance among the fans as well, however, some The Voice fans also rooted for Rowdy.

“She’s gonna give it to Rowdy, and I agree,” an X user commented.
“His voice was so pretty and clear….oh, Gwen 👎 She always makes the wrong decision” another user commented.
“Gwen pick the wrong song and wrong winner” one wrote.
“Rowdy should’ve been picked from team Gwen” wrote another.

Camryn Brooks v/s Rowdy Shea’s performance on The Voice season 26 episode 11

Between Camryn Brooks and Rowdy Shea, the former had the upper hand because she got all four chairs turned during her auditions after returning on The Voice season 26, as her first time was a no-chair turn on season 21. Rowdy, on the other hand, got chair turns from Gwen and Michael in the audition round.

After their performance, Gwen advised Camryn to emote more with her face and to work on her breathing. This is when Camryn revealed that she was battling a heart disease too. Rowdy on the other hand got emotional talking about the support he was receiving from his recently married wife.

I Remember Everything was a good song choice because it combined Camryn’s pop singing and Rowdy’s country into one. However, Michael thought the song suited Rowdy’s voice better, nevertheless, he stated that he would choose Camryn.

Snoop too picked Camryn but complimented the duo’s chemistry. Reba didn’t choose a winner, while Gwen found it hard to make a decision. She didn’t want to let Rowdy down because she thought he leveled up and deserved to go ahead, however, Camryn did steal the show for her, so she chose her. Rowdy had to go home.
