Kayleigh McEnany Announces Third Pregnancy Live on Fox News: A Joyful Moment for the Former Press Secretary
In a heartwarming moment that resonated with viewers, Kayleigh McEnany, the former White House Press Secretary and current Fox News host, announced that she is expecting her third child during a live segment of “Outnumbered” on Monday morning. The 36-year-old television personality shared the exciting news with her co-hosts, eliciting cheers and applause from the studio audience.
Dressed in a vibrant pink blazer and heels, McEnany began her announcement with a playful tease, stating, “I have a big announcement to make.” The anticipation built as she revealed, “Sean and I are expecting our third child, which we’re so excited about.” The joy in her voice was palpable, and her co-hosts quickly joined in the celebration, showering her with congratulations.
McEnany is married to Sean Patrick Gilmartin, a retired Major League Baseball pitcher who played for teams such as the New York Mets, Baltimore Orioles, and Tampa Bay Rays. The couple already shares two children: a five-year-old daughter named Blake and a two-year-old son named Nash. With the impending arrival of their third child, the McEnany-Gilmartin family is set to grow, and the excitement is evident.
Throughout the morning, McEnany had teased her announcement, building anticipation among viewers. She later clarified that her choice of a bright pink blazer was not an indication of the baby’s sex, humorously stating, “I’ll do an on-air gender reveal at a later date.” The baby is due in June, and McEnany expressed her eagerness to share more details as the pregnancy progresses.
In a touching moment, McEnany shared a photo of her ultrasound scan with the audience, showcasing the first glimpse of her new addition. She described this time as “very special” for her family, emphasizing the joy and love that comes with expanding their household. The ultrasound photo was framed, a tradition she has continued with her two older children, and she expressed her intention to display it alongside their pictures.
Co-host Harris Faulkner, sitting beside McEnany, offered heartfelt congratulations on behalf of the “Outnumbered” team. The camaraderie and support among the co-hosts were evident, creating a warm atmosphere that resonated with viewers at home. McEnany concluded her announcement with a light-hearted quip, saying, “With all that said, can I unbutton my jacket now? It’s very tight. I’m busting outta here.”
McEnany’s journey to motherhood has not been without its challenges. In 2020, she underwent an elective double mastectomy after discovering she carried the BRCA2 gene mutation, which significantly increases the risk of breast and ovarian cancer. This life-altering decision was made with the hope of ensuring a healthier future for herself and her family.
In her book, “Serenity in the Storm,” McEnany candidly shared her experiences with pregnancy and motherhood. She recounted how her first pregnancy with Blake occurred “rather quickly” and “with relative ease.” However, she faced concerns when she and Gilmartin were not able to conceive a second child as quickly as they had hoped. Through intensive prayer and faith, McEnany found solace and strength, ultimately leading to the conception of Nash.
As McEnany embarks on this new chapter of her life, her announcement serves as a reminder of the joys and challenges of motherhood. The support from her co-hosts and the Fox News audience highlights the sense of community that often surrounds such personal milestones. With the impending arrival of their third child, the McEnany-Gilmartin family is poised for a new adventure filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
As the news continues to unfold, fans and followers of McEnany eagerly await updates on her pregnancy journey, including the much-anticipated gender reveal. For now, the focus remains on celebrating this joyous occasion and the love that continues to grow within the McEnany household.
