Fox News star Greg Gutfeld got hot under the collar during a Friday’s The Five appearance – and it wasn’t due to tensions in the race to be the next Department of Homeland Security secretary heating up.

Kristi Noem is in the running to be the Department of Homeland Security secretary in Donald Trump’s second term as president; however, some have raised questions about her competence for the job.

Speaking about her confirmation hearing on Friday, Greg was apparently more focused on the visual aspect of Kristi rather than what she had to say for herself.

“She’s so hot that shooting a dog isn’t a deal-breaker,” he told his The Five co-stars, referencing how she acknowledged in her memoir that she once chose to shoot and kill her dog.

And Greg wasn’t finished talking about appearances.

“You look at this crop of nominees and the party—there’s something there, man. They’re all—they’re all!—in great shape!” he added.

“You’ve got to look at people who preserve and maintain what’s important in their lives,” he insisted, before pointing out: “If they are going to do that with their physical self, they are going to do that in other areas.”

According to Greg, discipline “is why a lot of liberals are just fat, out-of-shape losers.”

He concluded: “They don’t believe in structure, in discipline.”

Greg’s questionable take on Kristi comes weeks after he welcomed his first child at age 60 with his wife Elena Moussa, 42.

The news was announced during a Fox News show in December after fans began to question why Greg had been missing from his usual 10pm slot.

The star made his highly anticipated return to Gutfeld! and The Five on Monday, January 6.

During which, his co-stars treated Greg to a selection of gifts to help him adapt to life as a first time dad while he also gave everyone an update on his little one and what he had been doing during his time off.
