Fans Worry For North West’s Mental Health As Kim And Kanye Expose Her On Social Media
North West – the daughter of Kanye West and Kim Kardashian – has been in the spotlight since birth, including being a regular figure on reality television as well as social media.
But it appears fans are growing increasingly concerned for the 10-year-old and are calling on her famous parents to shield her from the dangers of social media.
Criticism was recently stirred after Kanye debuted a video for his upcoming album, with fans surprised that North West was the central figure in the footage, despite her young age and limited ability to consent to such exposure.
North Makes An Appearance In Kanye’s New Music Video
Sharing the video for Talking / Once Again on his Instagram Story, Kanye West later uploaded it to YouTube. In the music video, North is initially depicted getting her hair styled while lip-syncing to the lyrics. She later impresses with her own rap verse, featuring lines like “It’s your bestie. Miss, Miss Westie. Don’t try to test me. It’s gonna get messy. Just just bless me! Bless me!”
Throughout the video, North is attired in all black and is seen alongside her father, who was flaunting his new titanium mouthpiece (which allegedly cost $850,000). The song, a collaboration with Ty Dolla Sign, forms part of Kanye’s upcoming album, , set for release on February 9. The video managed to garner an impressive two million views within just 10 hours of its release.

One Reddit thread popped up to discussing the music video, “It’s just really sad, while another said, “She’s literally a kid, she’s going to end up like Britney Spears.” Some of the critics also pointed out the supposed hypocrisy from Kanye; the rapper has said he doesn’t want North making TikToks with her mom Kim, but seemingly has no problem with her appearing before an equally large audience in support of his music video.
However, despite the backlash, there were also many comments expressing excitement over how impressive North’s verse was, suggesting she has a future career in the music industry like her dad.
“This young lady is about to be trouble ! She’s about to take over,” one fan wrote, while another added, “It’s crazy how good her first song is.”
A different person added, “I hate Kanye. I hate Kim. But North, I’d fight for. I love her sm and I don’t even know her.”
Kim and Kanye share four children together. Their eldest daughter, North, was born in 2013, followed by their son, Saint, born in 2015. In 2018, the couple welcomed their third child, daughter Chicago, via surrogacy. Their youngest child, son Psalm, was born in 2019. Kim Kardashian and Kanye West began dating in 2012, got engaged in 2013, and tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in 2014. Ultimately, their marriage ended in divorce in 2022, the same year Ye remarried to Bianca Censori.
