Fans Furious with treatment of Angel Reese during her introductory press conference

The Chicago Sky rookie did not have to deal with many members of the media

Angel Reese is one of the most talented prospects in the WNBA. The former college star was drafted by the Chicago Sky and many believe she can help the team get to the next level soon.

The number seven overall pick was very excited to go the windy city, and everyone thought she would get the reception she deserved but things did not go as expected.

Her introductory press conference was held last week at the team facilities, but the young women’s basketball talent walked into a near-empty gym with no fans and only a few reporters present.

People started to show their disbelief towards the situation by criticizing everybody involved. First, they were not happy with the lack of enthusiasm shown by the team with no fan base support whatsoever.

Then, the fans blasted the media by saying that there should’ve been more reporters present, considering the importance of the signing for the team and the tremendous upside the young Angel Reese has.

Things then escalated quickly, after people started posting comments about Caitlin Clarks reception with the Indiana Fever on social media.

The team pulled out the red carpet to welcome her and then a large number of fans were waiting to cheer her on with the team’s color all over the team gym the presentation was held.

She was even driven by a Mercedes Sprinter van and everything looked like a party more than a introductory press conference for the first overall pick.

Angel Reese is destined to succeed soon in the league and with the Chicago Sky, but she and the fans will remember the way she was welcome to pro basketball.
