Donald Trump has lashed out at Taylor Swift, days after the pop star had endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris for president.

“I hate Taylor Swift!” the former president posted in all caps on his social media app, Truth Social, on Sunday, Sept. 15.

This isn’t the first time Trump has commented on the global superstar since her endorsement. Following the presidential debate, the 78-year-old called into “Fox and Friends” where he said he was not a fan of Taylor’s, adding that he liked Brittany Mahomes, the wife of Kansas City Chiefs Quarterback Patrick Mahomes, “much better.”

The Trump-Vance campaign has also released “Trump Era” shirts whose design mimics the pop star’s verified Eras Tour merchandise.

It seems Donald Trump recently expressed strong negative opinions about Taylor Swift, specifically after she endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris for the 2024 presidential election.

Trump, in a post on Truth Social, stated he “hates” Swift. He had previously commented that he preferred Brittany Mahomes, the wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, over Swift.

Trump also suggested that Swift’s liberal stance and frequent endorsement of Democrats might hurt her in the marketplace, implying that her political leanings could impact her popularity.

Taylor Swift, on the other hand, has been vocal about her political views, including concerns about misinformation and the use of AI, particularly after AI-generated content falsely suggested her endorsement of Trump. In response, Swift clarified her support for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the upcoming election.

Former President Donald Trump has lashed out at pop superstar Taylor Swift following her public endorsement of Vice President Kamala Harris for the 2024 presidential election. In a post on his social media platform Truth Social, Trump stated, “I hate Taylor Swift,” expressing his displeasure with her political stance. The comments came after Swift’s recent endorsement of Harris, which followed the first presidential debate between Harris and Trump.

During a call to Fox and Friends, Trump reiterated his criticism of Swift, saying he was “not a fan” of the singer. Instead, he praised Brittany Mahomes, wife of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, noting that she is a strong supporter of his political views. “I like Brittany much better than Taylor Swift,” Trump said, referring to her as a “big Trump fan.” He also highlighted the Mahomes family’s connection to his favorite NFL team, the Kansas City Chiefs.

Swift, in her endorsement of Harris, also addressed recent controversy involving AI-generated images falsely portraying her as supporting Trump. These images were circulated on Trump’s platform, prompting Swift to speak out. She emphasized the dangers of misinformation and the role AI could play in spreading false narratives. “The simplest way to combat misinformation is with the truth,” Swift wrote, making it clear that she plans to vote for Kamala Harris and Tim Walz in the upcoming 2024 election.

This back-and-forth between Trump and Swift is not new, as the two have clashed politically in the past, with Swift frequently using her platform to speak out on progressive issues and support Democratic candidates. Meanwhile, Trump, known for his blunt critiques of political figures and celebrities, has not shied away from responding to her views. The tension between the two has captured media attention, adding yet another layer to the political and cultural divides leading up to the 2024 election.
