Chicago Sky Coach Has Blunt Message For Angel Reese Following WNBA Debut

 

On Wednesday night, Angel Reese made her WNBA debut as the Chicago Sky were defeated by the Dallas Wings 87-79. Reese and the Sky move to 0-1 on the season.

Reese started the game slowly, going scoreless in the first half, but she picked it up in the latter half of the game. She tallied 12 points on 5 of 14 shooting to go along with eight rebounds and one assist. She also went 2 for 8 from the free-throw line.

Following the game, Chicago Sky head coach Teresa Weatherspoon discussed the team’s first game and gave a blunt message to Reese in a postgame interview.

“Like for everybody, it’s a learning process. It’s learning. They’re learning, they’re growing. Knowing what they can do and what they can’t do,” Weatherspoon said, “Our girls went out and competed tonight. We just came up a little bit short.”
