Charles Barkley takes a shot at ‘idiots’ Fox news during March Madness coverage

Charles Barkley had fans raising eyebrows with a viral call-out to co-host Kenny Smith during CBS’ March Madness coverage.

As they filled out their NCAA Men’s Tournament brackets, Smith picked his alma mater, the University of North Carolina, to win the highly unlikely national title.

The ever-outspoken Barkley questioned his colleague and noted how analysts are supposed to be objective.

‘Are you serious?’ Barkley asked. ‘Are you serious? Y’all make fun of me for being unbiased.’

Smith replied, ‘Listen, I don’t lie about being biased.’

‘We’re supposed to be unbiased,’ Barkley noted with Smith responding, ‘No, you’re not.’

‘What are we, Fox News? What are we, Fox News, in here now? This ain’t Fox News,’ Barkley claimed. ‘You don’t have to repeat everything the idiots say every day.’

The NBA Hall of Famer continued to make the broadcast entertaining later on. Barkley caught his co-hosts off guard when he said ”She said, go to commercial,’ following a hot take from The Jet.

Ernie Johnson jokingly noted that ‘For the first time in his career, Charles Barkley has listened to what a producer’s had to say.’

Johnson leads CBS’ in-studio tournament coverage from the CBS Broadcast Center in New York City alongside Barkley, Smith, and Clark Kellogg.

Barkley proved Smith’s prediction wrong when the Tar Heels fell to Ole Miss, 71-64, in the opening round of the tournament.

UNC squeezed into the dance after a dominant, 95-68, play-in win over San Diego State.
