Child star Camille Winbush broke away from her innocent image when she created an OnlyFans account, citing the slowed momentum she faced “trying to get into new doors.”

The now 34-year-old actress who played the role of Vanessa “Nessa” Thompkins on ‘The Bernie Mac Show’ alongside the “King Of Comedy’ Bernie Mac, revealed she struggled to move on due to her lack of support in the industry.

Despite her best effort, she claimed she “did not have the team at the time that was fighting aggressively for me to get into new doors.”

“I was a teenager going into my 20s and had been working since I was 2 years old, and I didn’t really want to keep working and being on set every day and having to give up a social life to work,” she said in a statement obtained by ‘Atlanta Black Star.’ “I wasn’t really that interested in pursuing it at the time. I just wanted to be free for a little bit.”

The actress, who played in the cult-favorite family series between 2001 and 2006, stood her ground in a post captured by the media outlet, where she claimed she “made the mistake” of reading comments about her OF, and wanted to set the record straight.

“Let me be clear — I am not broke or desperate for money. Bernie, God rest his soul, is not turning over in his grave. STOP saying that. Even if meant as a joke, it is far from funny,” Winbush, 34, clarified.

In an interesting turn of events, her fellow co-star Dee Davis — who played her younger sister in the series — is also utilizing the seductive subscription-based platform to rake in extra cash. Despite comments including, “Bernie rolling in his grave,” many comments showed an opposite reaction.

“They grown, end of discussion,” one Instagram user commented. “Leave them alone!! They aren’t bothering anyone,” another penned.

The situation resurfaced when Winbush took to Twitter, now known as X, in May, saying: “If I was on a tv show playing a stripper or a similar character, would that be more justifiable than having an OnlyFans?”
