Despite not even being considered a lock to be picked in the upcoming 2024 NBA Draft, Bronny James is the main topic for much of the national media. That comes with the territory of being LeBron James‘ son, especially when both of their NBA playing futures could be linked.
With Bronny in the spotlight, it comes with the media wanting to hear from him in the weeks leading up to the draft. We’ve heard more from Bronny in the past few days – once – than we ever did during his time at USC. And there’s a reason for it.

Bronny James reveals why he never spoke to media at USC
James spoke about his “shunning” of the media during his college career in a recent interview.
Just my team… Made the decision for me that that would be best in that situation, current situation… I couldn’t tell you [what led to the decision], I’m just going off what I was told.
It sounds like it was a collective move from his representatives and USC to keep him away from the media in his one season with the team. It makes sense when you consider that Bronny had to go through an incredibly emotional and life-altering situation with his cardiac arrest leading into his freshman year.
Considering that he hasn’t answered media questions in a long time and he’s under the spotlight now, James answered his questions very well. LeBron should be proud of how he’s handled the situation since announcing he entered the draft.
