Brittany and Patrick have been high school sweethearts. They married in 2022 and have two children, Sterling Skye and Patrick Jr., a.k.a. “Bronze.” This past February 20, Sterling turned three years old, and, as expected, the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback and his wife celebrated big.In the photos Brittany shared on her Instagram at that time, you can see the family enjoying the celebration alongside their loved ones. The Mahomes never expected that just over two months after the happy moment, little Sterling’s health would be seriously compromised.In a photo posted to her Instagram Stories, Brittany revealed that her oldest child had been sick for the past four days. “Day 4 of sickness for my baby boo,” Brittany noted in her post, explaining, “Some stomach virus that won’t get the heck out of here.”

In the photo, you can see Sterling asleep and lying on her mother’s lap. Brittany, for her part, wraps her daughter in a hug. The sad snapshot provoked an immediate response of sympathy from Mahomes’ followers.
