Wheel of Fortune host Ryan Seacrest surprised Vanna White in the best way ever. She had no clue what he had up his sleeve for Christmastime. The two have gotten comfortable with each other on the game show.

Seacrest’s Shocking Secret

It’s clear that they were long-time friends and not strangers who were thrown together. They enjoy dining and drinking fine wine. Yet, the tabloids wanted to rip them apart and claim there was a feud. Ryan wanted to do something special for Vanna during the holiday season. He shared a blast from her past that impacted his life as well.

Ryan posted a new Instagram Reel. He admitted that he was “dreaming of a (Vanna) White Christmas.” In the video, Ryan took WoF fans into his cozy green room. He held a manila envelope containing Vanna’s Christmas album, Santa’s Last Sleigh Ride.

The album, released in 1996, includes original songs like “Holiday Time” and “Christmas Wishes.” Ryan played the album to see if Vanna would recognize it. As she walked in, he remarked, “I’m getting into the Christmas spirit.”

“I love it,” Vanna exclaimed. “This takes us back to our childhood.” Ryan responded, “I know. It’s nostalgic.” Vanna then realized it was her Christmas album that he was playing. He confessed that it was one of his favorites. Vanna said she was “shocked” to hear it after all these years.

The hosts wished WoF fans a “Merry Christmas.” Fans flocked to the comment section to share their thoughts. One user commented, “I love you two together!! You treat each other well and clearly have a good time on set and the show.”

Bringing the Nostalgia

The reason why Sony hired Ryan was because they felt he was the perfect man for the job. Ryan took over Pat Sajak’s position in September 2024. He’s fit in well with the show and won over a new legion of fans.

Ryan’s mission is to bring nostalgia and heart back to the game show. He doesn’t want to make it all about him. Viewers enjoy watching his interactions with the contestants. They also love seeing his friendship with Vanna.
