Let’s all give a round of applause to Ken Jennings, as he’s celebrating a huge career accomplishment on Jeopardy!.

As the sole host of the quiz show franchise since Mayim Bialik‘s December 2023 exit, Ken has had a lot of TV airtime the past few months. Between emceeing Jeopardy! and its spin-offs Celebrity Jeopardy! and Jeopardy! Masters, he continues to capture the attention of both viewers and the world of game show television.

It turns out Ken is so good at his job that he reached a big moment in his career. When the 2024 Primetime Emmy Awards nominations were announced on July 17, Jeopardy! got two nods: one for Outstanding Game Show, and one for Outstanding Host for a Game Show. What’s more, the show’s social team revealed on Instagram that the news tallied Jeopardy!‘s total nominations to 137.

“137 total Emmy® nominations and counting 🥳,” read the official caption shortly after the news was announced. “Congratulations to Ken Jennings and the entire production team, and thank you @televisionacad!”

When fans saw that Jeopardy! was celebrating Ken’s nomination online, they bombarded the comments with their own words of excitement.

“Ken has my vote for sure! He does such an amazing job. Love watching him everyday. He brings me the comfort Alex used to. 🥹,” one person wrote. “I wasn’t sold on Ken as host at first, but honestly now I can’t imagine anyone hosting it but him,” another declared. “Congratulations — Ken is the man! Alex is smiling down on you! ❤️,” a different follower added.

It’s important to note this isn’t the only time Ken received an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Game Show Host. In 2023, he also got recognized for his work on Jeopardy! while co-hosting the franchise alongside Mayim. While the award eventually went to Keke Palmer for hosting Password on NBC, the jury is still out on whether he’ll win it all this time around.

We’ll be sure to keep our fingers crossed for him!
