Fans Catch ‘Wheel Of Fortune’ Set Enhancements In New Promo — And Not Everyone Is Impressed
Wheel of Fortune is seemingly spinning out a new look — and fans have thoughts.
Incoming host Ryan Seacrest and seasoned co-host Vanna White were featured in a new promo shared on the show’s official Instagram page, as well as a picture posted to Instagram by ABC7 entertainment reporter George Pennacchio, per TV Insider.
In Pennacchio’s post, he is positioned between Seacrest and White at the wheel, which according to fans on a Reddit forum dedicated to the beloved game show, has undergone some changes to “retro-modernish looks.”
While some “like the new wheel,” another claimed that they are “not really sure how [they] feel about all these wheels.”
Another on-set aspect that appeared different in the photos shared from set is the railing, which someone on Reddit claimed “doesn’t look as soft.”
As for the puzzleboard, which is visible at the end of the show’s promotional video shared this week, fans picked up on its new border and side panels, which one wrote “looks nice and nostalgic.” However, another Reddit user argued that “the board looks way too artificial,” and questioned whether the image is “a mockup or or the actual thing.”
“I definitely know Vanna and Ryan aren’t actually standing in front of it, but did they also photoshop the new board?” they added. “I’m surprised nobody has mentioned it but the top of the new puzzle board reminds me of the 1997-2003 board.”

Another fan opined, “The main border looks nice, but those side panels look very awkward. Or maybe this is just for layout purposes for this particular image and they’re more symmetrical on the actual board.”
Seacrest, who is replacing tenured host Pat Sajak, took to X in July to share a behind-the-scenes look at his first day on set, teasing that he was “spinning with excitement.”
Season 42 of Wheel of Fortune is slated to kick off in September. Check out their website for your local listings.
