BREAKING: Jason Kelce has a locker in the #Eagles coaches’ room and spends more time at the facility than most current players.JASON KELCE THE COACH… 👀

Retired Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce continues to be a familiar face at the Novacare Complex, sparking curiosity about his future involvement with the team.

Jason Kelce is still a big part of the Philadelphia Eagles

This week, Eagles All-Pro right tackle Lane Johnson shed light on Kelce’s ongoing presence at the facility during an appearance on the “Up and Adams Show.”

Johnson remarked, “He was in the building maybe more than a lot of the players this offseason. I think he was seeking advice from people and opinions kind of about his future. He was in the building a lot.”

Despite not having a designated locker in the players’ room this season-his locker has been relocated to the coaches’ room-Johnson remains hopeful about Kelce’s regular appearances.

Jason Kelce, who was drafted in the sixth round of the 2011 NFL Draft, has been a cornerstone of the Eagles.

His illustrious career includes seven Pro Bowl selections, six All-Pro honors, and a critical role in the Eagles’ Super Bowl LII victory over the New England Patriots.

Widely regarded as one of the best centers in NFL history, Kelce announced his retirement in March 2023.

As Kelce transitions away from playing, there is growing speculation about a potential coaching role given his deep understanding of the game and leadership qualities.

Jason Kelce continues to shed football weight

Kelce’s commitment to the sport remains evident, even as he focuses on his personal well-being and family time.

During a conversation with Access Hollywood at the American Century Celebrity Golf Championship in Lake Tahoe, Kelce shared updates on his post-retirement wellness journey.

“I feel good, the kids and I, and my wife, Kylie, have been down the shore,”Kelce said.

“So I’ve been eating a lot of ice cream. So I’ve started to go the opposite route again.”

Kelce, who weighed 295 pounds during the 2023-2024 NFL season, has been gradually shedding weight.

“But I’m still down, probably I’m low 280s right now,” he noted.

“My whole thing is just calories in, calories out. I don’t overcomplicate it. I don’t try to get too extreme with diets in general.”

He added, “Eat something that’s natural, whether it be a plant, animal-based product, things like that, not processed. And don’t eat too much. The weight kind of comes off naturally.”

On his podcast “New Heights,” which he co-hosts with his brother Travis Kelce, Jason discussed his goal of dropping 35 pounds post-retirement.

“I’m gonna slim down,” the 36-year-old revealed.

“My goal is 250. This last week, I got down to like 285 cause I knew I was doing this. And then I had cake like three days in a row, so…”

While the future remains uncertain for Kelce in terms of an official role with the Eagles, his continuous presence at the Novacare Complex and active involvement with the team suggest that his connection with the Eagles is far from over.
