During the first episode of the podcast, “Mind the Game” which features one of the greatest icons of the league, four-time champion, and twenty-time All-Star LeBron James and another prominent former player, two-time Rupp Trophy recipient, JJ Redick, one of the topics discussed was the 2022 NBA Finals.

The Los Angeles Lakers superstar, LeBron, shared that the Boston Celtics were more talented; however, the Golden State Warriors used their basketball IQ and won the matchup. According to AHN Fire Digital, LeBron shared, “There’s moments in the game that a coach cannot prepare you for, film can’t prepare you for, the history of the game can’t prepare you for, where you have to have a basketball IQ to make adjustments right away. I believe that when Golden State beat Boston, it came down to IQ in the Finals. ‘Cause Boston, to me, had the better talent. Boston had the better talent. But it came down to IQ. People say experience — IQ.”

The Golden State Warriors had plenty of championship experience going into the NBA Finals. The main players of the Celtics were undergoing their initial experience for the NBA Finals in 2022.

The Warriors demonstrated a strong sense of opportunism, capitalizing on the errors made by Boston and the Warriors were able to win the matchup. However, in this campaign, the Celtics are faring incredibly well, having one of the best records in the league.

They are currently in first place in the Eastern Conference and for the season, they are 54-14. They recently defeated the Detroit Pistons and will next face the Milwaukee Bucks in their next game.
