Blake Shelton has vowed to ‘stop drinking’ as his New Year’s resolution amid suspected Gwen Stefani ‘marriage problems’.
The 47-year-old Barmageddon host admitted he had found it difficult cutting back, but said he was resolving to possibly quit for good. Speaking on Entertainment Tonight, Blake said: “I haven’t managed to stop drinking yet. That’s been, you know, even cutting back has been hard.
“I mean, it’s a resolution though. And I’ll say it again right now — that’s my New Year’s resolution…to either cut back or stop drinking altogether.” Gwen, 54, and Blake married in 2021 after six years together after meeting on The Voice, where Stefani is a judge.

Recently, Gwen announced the couple would be spending New Year’s Eve apart due to their differing work schedules. Gwen told Access Hollywood: “Well, it’s funny because I was going to be at his show, and then Vegas called and wanted me to be in Vegas.”. Country singer Blake is also scheduled to perform at New Year’s Eve Live: Nashville’s Big Bash, on the other side of the country.

Last week, photos captured the couple looking tense while skiing in Utah with her three children. The images, sourced by TMZ, showed the family enjoying the winter weather at the Woodward Park City ski resort. The Hollaback Girl was also pictured tubing with her boys: Kingston, 17; Zuma, 15; and Apollo, 9; whom she shares with her ex-husband.
Blake sat out and filmed his wife and stepsons from the sidelines. The country star stayed off the slopes again the next day while Gwen and her sons went skiing. Gwen recently sparked concern when she appeared to delete several pictures with her husband. Gwen has been a coach on The Voice for seven seasons sporadically since 2014. She’s also been an advisor for two seasons.
Last week, the Hollaback Girl singer shared a video of herself getting ready in her dressing room.
In the comments, fans asked about the absence of Blake from her grid.
“What happened to all the videos of you and Blake?” one asked.
“I haven’t seen them either!” a second agreed.
The star met Blake Shelton on the show when he was working as a fellow coach. The two announced their relationship in November 2015 and got engaged in October 2020. They married at a chapel on Blake’s Oklahoma ranch in July of 2021.

This season, Gwen didn’t have any artists on her team make it to the finale. Instead, the finalists were Jacquie Roar and Ruby Leigh from Reba’s team; Lila Forde from Team John; and Mara Justine and Huntley from Niall’s team.
Huntley went on to win the season, marking Niall’s second year in a row that he’s won the show. Niall has only been a judge these past two seasons so he sports an undefeated streak.
