Angel Reese’s Stunning Admission On Why She Declined Nike’s Endorsement Offer

Chicago Sky rookie Angel Reese entered the WNBA as a star. She was already a household name in women’s basketball, given the impact she made on the LSU Tigers at the collegiate level.

Reese recently signed a sneaker deal with Reebok. Despite being offered by industry juggernauts like Nike, she chose to make a name for herself with Reebok where she believes she can be “the face of women’s basketball.”

That was one of the major reasons she chose to ink the deal with Reebok. Other thoughts from the rookie sensation are that she gets to have more freedom and even say so in the creative process of sneakers.

She also points out that her close friend and mentor, Shaquille O’Neal is signed with Reebok, so that impacted her decision, via video from Sole Retriever on X.

It seems the money wasn’t the only factor in Reese’s decision. She wanted a place where her voice would be heard and that ended up being Reebok.

Reebok truly secured one of the biggest names in women’s sports, and arguably sports in general.
