Angel Reese celebrates graduating from LSU ‘in four years on time’ as the Chicago Sky rookie dunks on haters

Chicago Sky star Angel Reese is celebrating a major accomplishment – graduating from college and earning her diploma.

Reese took some snaps in her grad cap and posted them to social media after a year where rumors speculated about her academic status.

A triumphant Reese posted to Twitter, ‘So now what? what was said? oh okay that’s what i thought. I graduated from THE LOUSIANA STATE UNIVERSITY IN 4 YEARS ON TIME’

She added: ‘I thought somebody without a college degree said sum.’

Throughout her senior year, rumors abounded that she wasn’t performing well in the classroom – and that those poor marks were responsible for coach Kim Mulkey benching her at LSU for a stretch of games to start the season.

But Mulkey rebutted those claims in March – when it was revealed that Reese did not meet all the requirements for the Wooden Award, given to the nation’s top women’s college basketball player.

The coach said that Reese was ‘in good academic standing’ and that her star player was ‘academically fine’.

But it doesn’t matter at this rate, because Reese was able to graduate with her diploma over the weekend.

Now, she can focus all her time and attention on the WNBA with her new team, the Sky.

In her first game, she started and put up 12 points and eight rebounds in an 87-79 loss to the Dallas Wings.

Chicago plays Dallas once again on Saturday night at 8:00pm ET.
