Ana de Armas Spoke About Tom Cruise for the First Time Since Romance Rumors & She’s Keeping Us Guessing

Since Valentine’s Day this year, relationship rumors have swirled about Ana de Armas and Tom Cruise. After all, not only were they seen spending V-Day together in London, but the pair have been spotted together a few times ever since.

And now, for the first time ever, she’s talked about the Top Gun star since it all began. “It’s so much fun,” she told Good Morning America about spending time with Cruise.

“We’re definitely working on a lot of things, not just one but a few projects,” she said, before listing Edge of Tomorrow director Doug Liman and screenwriter Christopher McQuarrie, who most recently worked with Cruise in Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning.

“I’m so excited,” de Armas, who’s starring in the new John Wick spinoff titled Ballerina, concluded.

So there you have it, the actress by no means confirmed a romance between them, but instead gave an explanation for why they were spending so much time together. Could both professional and personal be involved, though? We surely think so.

Prior to her GMA interview, a source finally confirmed to Us Weekly that she and Cruise were an item. “It’s low-key, still new and in the early stages,” a source said, also indicating that she broke things off with her previous boyfriend, Manuel Anido Cuesta, the stepson of Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel. “Their romance is definitely on the down low.”

According to the outlet, Cruise’s ex and de Armas’ friend, Penélope Cruz, set them up.

“They’ve gone out on some dates and it’s very low-key,” the source continued. “It’s in the early stages and he’s been courting her.”

While the report confirmed that Cruise was “smitten” and “really into her,” de Armas is reportedly “more cautious.” “She isn’t looking for anything to move too fast; she’s taking it really slow,” the source added.
