The Pat Tillman Award for Service, which honors his contributions as the Invictus Games’ founder, will be given to the Duke of Sussex. Since 2014, wounded service veterans have competed in Olympic-style events at the Invictus Games, demonstrating their tenacity and willpower.

The 23-time Grand Slam champion, in a preview clip regarding the event, said, “The ESPYs are a celebration of excellence. Join me as we celebrate the best of the best.” Not only will she be awarded, but she will also be seen on stage, as a host, during the award night.
On the other hand, when the news of her hosting the event broke out, the former world number one opened up about getting such a big opportunity, while sharing her excitement for the same.
Serena Williams take on hosting the ESPYS
The legendary tennis player has won an astounding 12 ESPY Awards in her career. She stated, “This is a dream come true for me, and something I’ve wanted to do for as long as I can remember. It has been a sensational year for sports and an unprecedented one for female athletes. I can’t wait to celebrate everyone onstage in July.”
The 23-time major winner, who is now retired, will serve as the show’s fourth female host as it celebrates the moments, athletes, and accomplishments of the previous year.
