Brad Pitt blasts Angelina Jolie’s attempt to overturn custody decision

IT should have marked the end of five years of bitter legal wrangling and bust-ups, but Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s split looks far from settled.

Yesterday I told how a judge had handed Brad a major victory in their dispute, agreeing to give him 50/50 custody of their children after she blocked access — claiming he had been abusive to their son Maddox on a flight.

But new paperwork filed by Brad reveals the war is far from over after she appealed to have the judge, John Ouderkirk disqualified from their case and his decision overturned.

She is also seeking a temporary block on proceedings while she tries with further legal action.

Brad made it clear he won’t back down, blasting back in damning new documents that her antics would harm their children.

In a statement from his lawyers, he says: “Any delay would only work grave harm upon the children, who will be further denied permanence and stability.”

It adds that allowing the proceedings to be delayed would be “wholly inappropriate”.

The former couple have been at war since their 2016 divorce, with the actress bidding to retain custody of their children amid allegations Brad was abusive to their then 15-year-old son Maddox during a private jet flight from France to the US.

But following years of acrimony, Judge Ouderkirk ruled that he did not believe the allegations about Brad’s behaviour and ordered him to be given access again — split 50/50 with his ex.

The ruling followed almost five years of the Oscar-winner attempting to win equal rights to their six children.

The case saw months of witness testimony, including from child services experts and therapists.

In a lengthy ruling, the judge claimed Angelina’s testimony “lacked credibility in many important areas”.

He added: “The existing custody order must be modified in the best interests of the children.”

The pair are parents to Maddox, 19, Pax, 17, Zahara, 16, Shiloh, 15 and twins Vivienne and Knox, 12.

And sources tell me Brad was delighted to be able to spend more time with his kids after years of battling to see them.

Brad is worth an estimated $300million while reports claim Angelina has a fortune of around $120million.

What’s clear is that no amount of money is making this one go away anytime soon.

It’s the spits, too

IT’S one of my favourite radio features, but unfortunately Covid put a stop to Scott Mills and Chris Stark’s brilliant Innuendo Bingo.

Now with most restrictions due to be dropped next month, I’m calling for a return of the Radio 1 feature in which Chris and a guest try not to spit water at each other as Scott reads out funny accidental suggestive remarks from the week.

Scott said: “We did have to get rid of it because of the situation.

“It would be a bit like the TV, ‘Oh we’ll bring it back for a Christmas special’. But I think we should at one point.

“At the moment I can’t even hug, so spitting is going to take a while.”

Chris added: “Just think about how normal that was. I’m really hopeful we will spit again.”

The lads were speaking at this week’s Audio & Radio Industry Awards in London, where they rightfully won Best Music Entertainment Show.

Scott, who presents the BBC’s coverage of Eurovision too, also gave his suggestions for how the United Kingdom could succeed in future years at the singing contest following James Newman’s nil points in Rotterdam over the weekend.

He said: “I think we just need to look at how the song’s selected.

“The public should be more involved in the process.

“I do think the public need to know the song a bit more, which is what the rest of Europe do. They parade their artist and the song around the rest of the countries.”

Also walking away with awards were Jordan Banjo and Perri Kiely, who won the Radio Times Moment of the Year for their reaction to Diversity’s BLM routine on Britain’s Got Talent during their Kiss FM Breakfast show.

Greg James won Best Music Breakfast Show, Yungblud’s podcast took gold in Best New Show and talkSPORT received the top prize for Best Speech Breakfast Show.

Add’s some girl

SHE’S the multi-talented TikTok star, singer and actress and Addison Rae certainly looks the part too.

The social media phenomenon wore knee-high boots and fishnet tights for these exclusive pictures taken from a photoshoot with Rollacoaster magazine.

Despite her stunning appearance, Addison still gets ridiculous criticism from trolls.

She told the mag, available to order now at Rollacoaster.tv: “I do experience a lot of body shaming, and also some say I don’t deserve my success.

“So I have to regularly remind myself to be myself, no matter what, and that I’m unique and healthiest by being me.

“Also I remind myself to be graceful towards people and understand everyone’s having their own battles.”

With new single Obsessed out, an upcoming feature in new Netflix film He’s All That and a cool 70million TikTok followers, I’m sure she’ll be OK.

A Noisy ending to week

IT’S Friday, so that means there’s new music out, and Noisy are kicking things off with new single Days Go By.

The trio will tour the UK in October.

After working with Lil Wayne, Childish Gambino and J Cole, Brit singer S-X has his own song out, Feels So Good.

It’s from his upcoming album, which is due out this year.

Surrey band You Me At Six today announce a deluxe edition of their UK No1 album Suckapunch with an alternative version of Voicenotes, which will be released on July 2.

X Factor stars Max and Harvey are also back with a new single, Lonely.

And rising K-pop group Aespa have hit the Billboard Global Chart more than once with their latest track, Next Level.

Only Blackpink and Itzy have managed that from the same genre.

Ginger’s so batty

AT the height of their Girl Power fame I’ll bet the Spice Girls felt like superheroes.

But Geri Horner may have taken that a little too far.

Geri said her stage persona was like wearing 'a Batman suit' and added: 'It’s like going from Bruce Wayne to Batman. It’s a layer'

She says she felt like Batman, as her Ginger Spice persona was an alter-ego.

The singer claimed she doesn’t keep up the Spice Girl image in her day-to-day life.

She told Alan Cummings’ Shelves podcast: “I don’t think about myself like that, there’s just other things in your life, like my family.”

But she added her stage persona was like wearing “a Batman suit” and added: “It’s like going from Bruce Wayne to Batman. It’s a layer.”

Girl power, saving the world, it’s all the same.

Make-up?

SWEDISH singer Zara Larsson told Jamie Laing and Francis Boulle’s Private Parts podcast: “There was a period when I didn’t want to go out without make-up because I didn’t want to disappoint people when they saw what I looked like normally.

“I felt like I had to look like I was on the red carpet.”

Bey’s tasty tunes

BEYONCE has teased new music in an intimate chat with her former Destiny’s Child bandmates Michelle Williams and Kelly Rowland.

Asked if she was working on anything, Bey made a pun on her name and Kelly’s, based on a US pasta brand.

Bey said: 'I’m cooking some music. That’s Chef Boyardee and Chef Boy-Kelly'

She said: “I’m cooking some music. That’s Chef Boyardee and Chef Boy-Kelly.”

Since her controversial Lemonade album ten years ago, on which she sang about hubby Jay-Z cheating on her, Bey has released Everything Is Love with him and the visual album Black Is King for 2019’s The Lion King

The new stuff has to be good, 2021 will be a busy year for music.

Guett a bit wet

DJ DAVID Guetta really is making the most of his new ripped torso.

The Titanium producer sported red shorts, showing off his muscular body, as he went for a swim in the sea at Miami Beach in the US.

David will likely be in a good mood tomorrow as his new single Heartbreak Anthem, with Galantis and Little Mix, looks set to enter the Top Ten.

Back to the gym then, not the studio.

Kylie’s vino

I WILL be raising a toast to Kylie Minogue this evening to celebrate the first anniversary of the launch of her wine range, which has shifted well over a million bottles.

The Aussie pop princess now has seven types of vino available.
