ESPN has announced a major change for an upcoming showdown between former college rivals Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark.

The WNBA’s first Chicago Sky-Indiana Fever clash for the new season lived up to the hype and is still being talked about, thanks to a particular foul.

Fortunately, fans won’t have to wait too long for the next game between these two teams, which is set for June 16.

Clark and the Fever have the bragging rights until then, having secured a marginal win last Saturday, beating the Sky 71-70. Reese scored eight points on the day and added 13 rebounds, while Clark recorded 11 points and eight rebounds.

The game was initially scheduled to air on NBA TV but has been switched to The Worldwide Leader in Sports, according to Fever beat reporter Matthew Byrne. The change will also see the fixture occupy a primetime slot: 4:00 PM EST on a Sunday.

The June 16 clash between the two teams will air on CBS, so ESPN will have to make do. And no one can blame them for wanting to air what could be one of the most dramatic early games of the season.

They could also luck out on added buildup, given the possibility of another dramatic showdown on the 16th that could lead to even more sparks when said teams clash again a week later.
