Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s divorce leaves them with $80 million each

Angelina Jolie is riding high on the awards circuit right now, but the Oscar-winning actress has something else to celebrate, her divorce from Hollywood superstar Brad Pitt, which may have just made her richer by $80 million.

The couple married with a prenuptial agreement, a common practice in Hollywood. They signed their prenup before their 2014 marriage, which stated that they would each keep their individual assets (since both were at the peak of their successful acting careers), and split any joint money later. However, things got more complicated than expected. Their divorce took years to resolve, including a fight over custody of their six children, resulting in Jolie having full custody.

The assets between Pitt and Jolie were divided based on their prenuptial agreement and later negotiations. Both had significant individual wealth, as they were two of Hollywood’s biggest stars at the time of their marriage. Their shared assets, including real estate, art collections, and investments, were divided as part of their divorce settlement.

Some of their notable assets included real estate, specifically the Château Miraval. The duo owned several properties, including a mansion in France, which was one of their most valuable assets. They also had homes in the U.S. and other countries.

The couple jointly owned the Château Miraval — a 1,000-acre estate in France, which includes a vineyard. There were ongoing legal disputes over this property as part of the divorce.

They also had a large collection of art, antiques, and other collectibles, which were likely divided as part of the settlement.

Jolie and Pitt had investments in various businesses, including the wine business at Château Miraval, which was a point of contention in their divorce proceedings.

The Hollywood A-listers had their earnings from acting, production, and other ventures divided as part of the divorce settlement.

While the exact split of these assets hasn’t been publicly disclosed, the couple’s legal teams worked through the prenuptial agreement terms and other negotiations to finalize the division.

The sale of these assets could very well net each of them a tidy sum north of $80 million each.
