Eventually, Travis Kelce won’t be catching passes for the Kansas City Chiefs. However, he’s going to try to give Father Time a run for his money.

During the latest edition of the “New Heights” podcast, Jason Kelce talked about how his life has changed since retiring from the NFL.

“I’m still getting used to it,” Jason said. “It feels weird not going into the building and just the little conversations you have. You’ll realize it, Trav, once it’s gone.”

That led to Travis saying he’s never going to retire from playing football. He also made a reference to his older brother’s emotional retirement speech.

“I’m never doing it,” Travis said, via Parade. “Not after that speech, dude. No, [expletive] that. I don’t want to go through that.”

We can’t fault Kelce for feeling this way. It’s incredibly hard to let go of something that has meant so much to your life.

Kelce, 34, proved last postseason that he’s still the best tight end in the game. In four playoff games, he had 32 receptions for 355 yards and three touchdowns.

Barring injury, Kelce should remain one of the top playmakers in the NFL next season.
