LeBron James’ wife reacts to Lakers drafting Bronny James

Being in a basketball family is surely different but LeBron James’ household took it to the next level. Savannah James is now the mother of a house that has two players in the association after the NBA Draft. He saw The King go through the hardships of the ride up until his current stint with the Los Angeles Lakers. Now, she has to do the same with Bronny James. In a couple of years, Bryce James could also be in the mix too.

Seeing accomplishments through the lens of a mother has to be great. It was the same child that you gave birth to and cherished until they found their own personality. Obviously, LeBron James left a big and indelible impact on his son which is why he elected to play for the USC basketball program. Since then, Savannah James has done nothing but be an amazing mother to Bronny James. The two were even spotted watching the game at the NBA Draft Combine.

Now, there has to be a lot of joy in her heart. Bronny James got selected 55th overall in the 2024 NBA Draft. After this move to the Lakers, she immediately went to social media. Savannah posted a photo of her husband and son way back when the younger James was still a child.

Understandably, it has been a very long road that James went through before landing with the Lakers. He committed to Andy Enfield’s USC basketball program but had a complication that led to a collapse in the middle of practice. Some parents would make their kids stop there and the children themselves often make that decision. But, the James household is different. The younger James got better and earned himself a rotational spot with the USC basketball squad.

This was not where all the problems ended. The younger James had a lot of vitriol hurled towards him because of his production. Many were claiming that he was not going to be in the league at all while some were making declarations of how lucky he is because of the chances given to him. Bronny finished the season with only 4.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists.

Again, it was just a lot more noise coming out of fans’ thoughts after that. Bronny declared for the NBA Draft which raised a lot of eyebrows. Many were telling him to find a better squad while others kept claiming that he would be better off if he did not enter the league. None of those voices mattered to him. Instead, he continued his own path and attended the Combine.

He racked up big numbers leading up to the NBA Draft. But, there was a lot of doubt that he would actually get drafted. Some analysts were even suggesting that front offices should pick Bronny first and hold him hostage for capital. All of that noise got shut down in front of Savannah and LeBron when the Lakers selected him 55th overall. The cusses and odd takes will not stop, it might even get louder. But, the taste of victory will only get sweeter because of it.
