Paul George Being Linked To 3 Teams Amid Clippers ExitPaul George is an unrestricted free agent this summer and appears destined to join a new team. The Los Angeles Clippers had the opportunity to re-sign George to a max deal, much in the way they opted to do with Kawhi Leonard earlier this year, but ultimately decided not to.Now George is in control of his own destiny.

At the moment, three teams appear to be in the hunt for George’s services.

The first is the New York Knicks. As noted by ESPN insider Brian Windhorst, a union between George and the Knicks could make sense for both sides.

“The reason that the Knicks makes sense is that the Knicks could make a deal with any team because they have some expiring contract money, plus the draft picks, and if you’re the Knicks and you’re thinking about how you’re going to beat the Celtics you got to keep OG Anunoby and if you could acquire a player like Paul George, I’m not saying Paul George, but if you got a player like Paul George,” Windhorst said.

Windhorst didn’t stop there, though.

“Like I’m not mentioning several guys who could be in that trade but Jalen Brunson, you know you want to start with a way to deal with Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum,” Windhorst added. “How about I offer up OG Anunoby and Paul George, that’s not bad.”

The Los Angeles Lakers have also recently been linked to George in recent weeks. Though obviously given their relationship with the Clippers, attaining him might prove harder in reality than in theory.

Finally, don’t sleep on the Orlando Magic. After this year’s surprisingly good showing, the Magic are on the precipice of being an Eastern Conference contender. They appear interested in adding George in hopes that his veteran leadership and unique skillset takes them over the top.

The next few weeks promise to be interesting for George. Where will he end up when everything is said and done? Time will tell.
