Taylor Swift Fans Are Outraged Over Major Grammys Snub: ‘We Were Robbed’

Swift was nominated in six categories, but her absence from a seventh was dubbed the ‘biggest snub’ in music history.

Though Taylor Swift walked away with six Grammy nominations ahead of the 2025 telecast, fans feel the “Fortnight” singer was snubbed when one highly anticipated nomination failed to come to fruition.

While the touring artist nabbed nods in a variety of categories—including for Best Music Video, Record of the Year and Song of the Year for “Fortnight” featuring Post Malone, Best Pop Vocal Album and Album of the Year for The Tortured Poets Department, and Best Pop Duo/Group Performance for her collaboration with Gracie Abrams on the breakout artist’s “Us”—she failed to garner a spot in the Best Music Film category for her record-smashing Eras Tour concert film.

Now, fans say that they “were robbed” by the lack of recognition, with one going so far as to emphatically call it the “BIGGEST SNUB IN [sic] HISTORY OF MUSIC” in response to a pop culture update account’s announcement of the lack of nomination.

“That is highway robbery,” someone else agreed, while another dubbed the lauded awards program the “scammys.”

One fan said they were “so sure” it was “the one category” that Swift would win at the upcoming ceremony, concluding in frustration, “wtf.”

“So they’ll put fortnight in every…category but the one thing she did that actually deserved recognition, they skip,” another declared boldly. “make it make sense.”

Swift made history at the 65th annual Grammy Awards earlier this year when she took home Album of the Year for Midnights, marking her fourth win in the prestigious category and making her the first artist to ever win that many times (Fearless, 1989 and folklore were also awarded the honor).
