: ‘The Boys’ Star Teases an “Extremely Satisfying” Series Finale

“I just read the finale last night. It’s an extremely satisfying finale. That’s what I will say. It’s extremely satisfying. I was getting emotional reading it.”
She also went into detail on how the series needs to be grounded in reality for it to work, which is something the cast and crew intend to take to the end. While The Boys may feature some of the most outlandish content on television, there are still things that people in the real world can relate to:
“If we believe that it’s all grounded in reality and in something that the audience can connect to, it works? Oh yeah. I have a crazy boss and it makes me want to rip my hair out, you know? [In The Surrender], I’m having trouble with my mom. Our dad died, and Mom wants to bring him back. The grief is real, and the world can expand from there.”
It’s unclear what powers Ashley will get after taking Compound V, but we’ve seen that the serum can certainly have some adverse effects. Butcher (Karl Urban) gained powers similar to Homelander when he took Temp V, but it wasn’t until he began taking regular Compound V that he got his chest-bursting tentacle power, which helped him kill Victoria Neuman (Claudia Doumit). Hughie (Jack Quaid) got teleportation powers from Temp V, but he’s never taken normal Compound V, so we don’t know what powers it would give him.
‘The Boys’ Universe Continues With Multiple Spin-Offs

The Boys may come to a head with Season 5, but the story of the Supes will continue. Prime Video has already released one season of Gen V, which tells the story of younger Supes at Godolkin University. Season 2 of the series has already wrapped production and is expected to premiere later this year. Prime Video has also announced Vought Rising, the prequel series following Soldier Boy (Jensen Ackles) and Stormfront (Aya Cash) as they help Vought *checks title* rise to power.
The Boys Season 5 is currently in production, but does not have an official release date. Stay tuned to Collider for more updates and coverage of the show, and watch the first four seasons of The Boys on Prime Video.
