‘I was thinking about starting over and I was looking up starting over in your 40s and 50s and any time you have to start over, it’s a daunting task,’ she said.

T. J. Holmes has hinted at the ‘ugliness’ that he and Amy Robach, experienced when they found out that their exes, Marilee Fiebig and Andrew Shue, were romantically involved.

One year ago on December 5, the former Good Morning America hosts launched their podcast 365 Days Later… and on the exact same day, it was revealed that their former spouses were dating after Robach and Holmes’ affair was exposed in November 2022.

In their latest episode, which was released on Thursday, the couple marked one year of their podcast as Holmes, 47, admitted: ‘We have so many anniversaries, we can’t keep them straight, but I can’t believe we’re sitting here a year later.

‘I’m not saying I can’t believe we made it a year of doing the podcast but I couldn’t imagine I would ever have a one-year anniversary of a podcast,’ the father-of-three continued as Robach, 51, reflected on December 5, 2023.

‘And I think back to last December 5, there were tears, there were fears, I was scared and excited all at once,’ she admitted, before asking Holmes: ‘Do you remember how you felt?’

He replied: ‘I was frustrated, I was p***ed, I was nervous, that became fear later, but it wasn’t a celebratory day at the time.

‘Because we learned that there are still forces out there who are after us no matter what we do, and our success and our joy and our happiness and our future is threatening and upsetting to some people.

‘So that was a big day for us a year ago, and others chose to try to attack us on that day even, so that’s my honest answer, that’s how I was that day.’

Holmes then divulged: ‘We had family stuff going on because of it.

‘There was some ugliness on December 5 last year, and nobody will ever know and we will never reveal.

‘But it was a difficult day, a very difficult day, and it shouldn’t have been.’

Robach replied: ‘I don’t know how I forgot about all of that, but you’re right, that marked so much of the day, and I do believe, looking back, and we have had plenty of tough days in between, and we still will have plenty of tough days going forward.

‘But it’s what you learn along the way about what you’re made of and how you get through these things, how we get through it together – which is challenging in moments, but it’s what brings us together in the end.’

‘And I think, gosh, going through darkness gives you the perspective of how great it feels to be in the light, to be in the sunshine, and when you have those moments, man lean into them, celebrate them,’ she added positively.

The couple both worked at Good Morning America together but were fired by ABC in January 2023 – three months after DailyMail.com revealed their illicit off-screen affair.

The TV anchors were unable to reach an agreement with the network over their roles at Good Morning America and their GMA afternoon show, but bosses say ‘several productive conversations’ were had with the pair at the time.

The hosts were accused of having an affair by their respective partners, with Holmes officially filing for divorce in January. 

In an expected turn of events, Shue and Fiebig then struck up their relationship, and sources claimed that Holmes and Robach were ‘furious’ when news of their exes’ relationship broke on the same day as their podcast launch.

Shue and Fiebig’s unlikely romance first came to light late last year, with reports that they had begun dating seven months prior after bonding over the ‘traumatic experience’ of their very public messy breakups.

Robach was reportedly ‘livid’ at the timing of the news, accusing her ex of ‘trying to steal her thunder,’ sources told Page Six at the time.
