She has time and again faced several such social media abuses, including hate, negativity, and many other derogatory comments from angry gamblers. Reflecting on her approach to counter those kinds of stuff she clarified, “I only block people who are negative, not my fans.” Gauff added, “It (daily harassment) is exhausting. So I try my best to spare myself.” Now, shortly before starting her campaign at the 2024 Wimbledon, she was asked to reflect a bit on what she hates and loves the most, being a professional tennis player.

Replying to that question during the press conference, Coco Gauff revealed, “One thing I don’t like? May be just the bad angry betters online. They are a bit annoying but I love the ‘block button’. So, I know it was like a thing on Twitter about how much I block people but it’s like ‘bye’ (laughs)“. Coco Gauff’s 1.7 million strong Instagram following is a double-edged sword. However, she has time and again reminded the fans about how much she loves them and appreciated them for their true support. Elaborating on her presence on social media, Gauff once revealed, “The reason why I stay active on socials is because of my fans. To see their nice comments and support.
