Coco Gauff has been roaming the world with her tennis racket. But she knows how important is it to find a balance and prioritize her loved ones. While the 20-year-old is just weeks away from Wimbledon, where she previously defeated Venus Williams, she dropped a personal update about her boyfriend. Will he be seen cheering for her?

Gauff said, “My boyfriend, he’ll probably come to maybe some tournaments in the US It’s just a little bit easier than coming to Europe.” Her announcement is intriguing because the season will soon be heading toward the second hard-court swing in the US. The American’s partner for over a year has previously cheered for her at some big tournaments like the 2023 US Open.
However, not seeing him in Paris will be a dud. After all, this is the first time she will grace the Olympics. Though she made it to the Olympic team for Tokyo previously, she unfortunately tested positive for COVID-19. She had to withdraw and give up the chance of becoming the youngest Olympic tennis player since 2000. She was just 17 then.

But she won’t be lacking any support. She stated, “I think just right now my mom and dad because it’s in Paris… it’s far away from home.” As her parents will accompany her to the biggest stage, people will be keen to see if the young player can stand up to all the expectations that have been set.
She is the first American tennis player to have mathematically clinched a spot at the Olympics. How? Well, she collected enough points to stand within the top 4 women’s singles players (USA) by the end of the Olympic qualifying window, which is for 12 months. The window ended in early June. While all this was going on, she also rekindled her love for her old hobbies. What was it?
The 20-year-old was biding time away from the courts ahead of her eco-trans Ladies Open. Reading is a big hobby for the American as she talked about the progress of conquering her TBR pile on media day. Her love for books began as a child, “[The reading challenge] started because I loved reading as a kid and I kind of lost it when I got older.”

She revealed how her boyfriend encouraged her to read more. “So at first, my goal was to read 12 books, one per month. Then my boyfriend has this thing where he reads the amount of books as the year we’re in, so 24 in 2024, 23 in 2023.” Gauff’s competitive spirit got woken up. “So when he said he was going to read 24, I got super competitive and I doubled my goal to match his and I like trying to finish faster than him.”
Expressing her joy over her success, she shared that she is leading the trail against her boyfriend. “I’m two books ahead, so I’m winning right now.” The year has been filled with several interactions between Gauff and Sera, which has convinced fans more and more that he is the unnamed boyfriend.
Coco Gauff won’t stop dropping hints!
Jalen Sera is quite active on Instagram, as he often shares several pictures in one go. Gauff, who actively comments on his posts, left a rather endearing message for her beau. In January, one of Gauff’s comments showed her romantic side to the musician and her fans. In a post that included pictures of Sera on stage in boxing attire, a picture of Ken, and more, the tennis sensation commented, “yayyyyy.”
Gauff left another comment, including the emojis for the moon and chain, pointing to Sera’s necklace. She left another comment which read, “grid posttttt,” to which Sera replied, “@cocogauff, you know I had to do it for you ;),” indicating that a few of the pictures were for the US Open champion.
Conversations between the two can often be seen on their Instagram handles. With more and more instances popping up and Gauff confirming she does have a boyfriend, is she soft-launching her partner?
But let us also get to know a bit about Sera. Jalen Sera is an artist/musician with more than 8k followers on Instagram. He frequently posts artistic images on his platform, while Gauff comments on almost every single post. He also has a YouTube channel with 3.5k subscribers.
