🚨 Mike Tyson names the best puncher he faced in his career
Mike Tyson retired with a record of (50-6, 44 knockouts)
‘Iron Mike’s’ boxing career is iconic.
From his emergence, to becoming the youngest Heavyweight champion of all-time and then the defeat to James ‘Buster’ Douglas, which is still today the greatest upset in sport’s history.
Tyson was famous for his blistering speed and ferocious punching ability that caught the imagination of fight fans around the world and scared most of his opponents even before he had thrown a single punch.
After that shock defeat to Douglas, Tyson would rebuild with eight wins on the spin before coming up against Evander Holyfield who would stop him late in their first encounter before being disqualified in the rematch in the infamous ‘Bite fight’.
Speaking to The Ring about Holyfield’s punching ability: “He threw terrific shots with both hands and with bad intentions.”
He also named him even above the majestic Lennox Lewis as the greatest fighter he fought.
Great champion: chin, heart, determination, work ethic, demeanor”, said Tyson.
