An old interview clip showing an awkward moment between Mike Tyson and Sean “Diddy” Combs has resurfaced in the wake of the latter’s arrest on sex trafficking charges

A video clip of Mike Tyson and Diddy has resurfaced

An interview clip featuring an uncomfortable interaction between Mike Tyson and Sean “Diddy” Combs has come to light following the musician’s recent arrest.

In the footage from a 1998 appearance on Keenan Ivory Wayans’ show, Tyson appears to take Diddy’s hand off his leg. Diddy was apprehended on Monday, facing charges of sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, and transportation to engage in prostitution.

Despite his not guilty plea, Diddy, 54, has been refused bail and is now at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn. And social media users have revisited a peculiar moment shared between Diddy and boxer Tyson following Monday’s news.

The rapper was relaying a story about a New York gig where he fell over, saying: “So I was performing and trying to give it my all, I was busting my —. I’m talking about when you fall flat on your back, but I tried to play it off. You know when you fall but you act like no one has seen you. You just keep on rocking. I was embarrassed for like weeks.”

Tyson jokingly replied: “It truly is all about the Benjamins” – referencing Diddy’s song about making money.

Tyson then appeared to take Diddy’s hand and position it away from himself as they sat on the couch, leading into a commercial break with Diddy recrossing his arms. Circulating wildly online with over 40,000 hits thus far on X, the segment left some viewers thinking Tyson purposefully moved Diddy’s hand off.

“Diddy was trying to touch Mike Tyson and Mike had to move his hand away,” one X user wrote, with another adding: “Mike Tyson knew what Diddy was all about, watch Mike move his hand away from his leg.” A third continued: “Tyson ain’t playing around.”

Nevertheless, some spectators pondered whether Tyson was actually showing off a ring on Diddy’s finger. “It wasn’t on his leg and was clearly stating the Benjamin’s, the worth of his jewelry on Diddy’s hand. This one is a bit of a stretch just going off this short clip,” one person suggested.

Another viewer clarified: “Watch it again. He was grabbing his hand to show his diamond ring to the audience while saying ‘It truly is about the benjamins.'”
