With his famous chalk toss ritual, LeBron James never imagined that he would get chalk powder in Kevin Durant’s eyes. But that is precisely what occurred. Durant was standing next to LeBron when the latter was practicing his chalk toss in preparation for Team USA’s London matchup with South Sudan. After the toss, the chalk would get in his eye, causing KD to react humorously and exaggeratedly.

Despite Kevin Durant’s theatrics, he wasn’t gravely hurt or affected by the chalk. Despite not playing in Team USA’s match against South Sudan, he is scheduled to participate in his first Olympic minute in Paris as he recovers from an injury. On the other hand, LeBron James got to play hero once more in his career.

LeBron James scored 25 points, grabbed six rebounds, and dished out seven assists in a fantastic performance for Team USA. His most significant basket occurred late in the game when he made the game-winning layup to give Team USA the advantage and stave off an embarrassing and demoralizing loss to South Sudan.

After the triumph, James responded admirably, saying that he prefers close games and late-game scenarios to blowouts. It is because it feels much more fulfilling to win when you have to take it from the jaws of defeat.

LeBron James Clinches Victory Over South Sudan With Last-Minute Basket

Another fear during LeBron James and Team USA‘s pre-Olympic exhibition trip. With time running out, the Americans needed James to make a game-winning shot to defeat South Sudan 101–100. The Lakers star discussed his views on the tight victory as he and the other players of Team USA made their way back to

LeBron James said during a post-match interview: “To be honest, I like those ones better than the blowouts; at least we’re getting tested. I like being tested. Those are the best ones.”

James possessed the ball with ten seconds remaining and needed a basket to make it 100-99. With eight seconds remaining, he made a difficult layup to give Team USA a 101-100 lead.
To secure the hotly contested victory, LeBron James and Team USA forced a missed floater and two failed putback attempts.

The most significant disadvantage for Team USA was sixteen points. But with eight seconds remaining, James led a rally that cut the score to just one point.
