Pat Sajak has revealed his retirement plans after stepping down from Wheel of Fortune after 40 years.
TV presenter Pat, 77, has hosted Wheel of Fortune since 1983, but he has made the tough decision to leave the popular show once this current season aired. Fans were heartbroken when Pat informed them of his big decision last fall.
Now on his final week of the show, Pat’s retirement plans have been revealed. A source told The Sun he has no plans for more TV shows, saying: “You can sum up Pat’s retirement plans in one word: Retirement.”
They added: “Meaning even though he has the looks and energy of somebody 25 years younger than he actually is, he has no plans to turn around and host another TV show.”

Instead, Pat wants to focus on his “peaceful and happy home life” as well as his charity, which he shares with his wife. The source also said that when Pat isn’t working on Wheel of Fortune, his focus is on a “peaceful and happy home life”.
Meanwhile lucky fans got to see a sneak peak of the set thanks to longtime host Pat Sajak’s daughter, Maggie.
Maggie, who works as social correspondent for the game show, took to her Instagram account to post a video showcasing behind the scenes on May 29. The 29 -year-old is the daughter of Pat and photographer Lesly Brown Sajak. She captioned the brief video “Secrets from behind the puzzleboard.” The video began with Maggie saying, “So I’m behind the puzzle board and look who I find,” before panning to her well-known father.
Pat Sajak said that the space “looks like election headquarters back here with all these TV screens and everything” and that he sees some anchormen. He also added that they couldn’t show fans much of the glimpse Maggie was giving them of behind the puzzle board, saying “certain things that are highly classified.”

Pat then asked his daughter to show viewers his water stash. The camera panned to a small table with a sticker saying “Pat’s Water” with five Fiji water bottles on top. He lifted up one of the bottles that was almost finished which he pointed out.
“I’m almost done with this one. They just gave me enough to last the rest of the season,” Pat joked.
