Travis Kelce’s mom appeared unfazed by meeting the biggest pop star in the world: Taylor Swift.
“It was OK,” Donna Kelce told “Today” show co-hosts Savannah Guthrie and Hoda Kotb on Friday morning.
The famed football mom said she could not “tell” if the pair were a “budding romance” because it is “just too new.”
She also tried to remain mum when asked about what it was like cheering on the Kansas City Chiefs tight end with the “Anti-Hero” singer.
“I don’t like to talk about it. It’s just one of those things where everyone saw me,” Donna, 70, said.
“I was in the boxes with her. It’s another thing that’s amped up my life.”
The Kelce matriarch — who is also the mother of Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce — previously told “haters” of Travis’ headline-making relationship with Swift to “Shake It Off” and gave her stamp of approval.
Donna posted a video to her Instagram page showing her hugging the “Blank Space” singer, 33, in a VIP suite during Sunday’s Chiefs vs. New York Jets game.
In a rare and candid interview, actor Joe Alwyn opened up about his relationship with global superstar Taylor Swift, shedding light on their six-and-a-half-year romance and the subsequent breakup that has captivated fans and media alike. Speaking with the Sunday Times Style Magazine, Alwyn shared his thoughts and feelings about their time together, offering a glimpse into the private life they shared.
Alwyn described their relationship as “long and fully committed,” filled with love and wonderful moments. Despite this, they eventually grew apart, a sentiment he acknowledged as a cliché but nonetheless true. He emphasized that the decision to end their relationship was mutual and, although difficult, they have managed to remain on good terms.
The interview took place at a comfortable London bistro, where Alwyn spoke openly about the challenges of navigating a high-profile relationship. He highlighted the couple’s deliberate choice to keep their romance private, allowing Swift’s music to take center stage. However, this decision did not shield them from the constant public scrutiny and relentless questions about their relationship.
Alwyn also addressed the rumors surrounding Swift’s recent album, which many believe is inspired by their relationship. He confirmed that he had listened to the album and praised it as a “really good album.” While he did not confirm or deny whether the songs were about him, he admitted that some of the lyrics resonated with him deeply. Tracks like “So Long London” and “My Boy Only Breaks His Favorite Toys” are speculated to reference their breakup and the emotional journey that followed.
Reflecting on their breakup, Alwyn expressed frustration with the constant inquiries about his relationship with Swift, stating that he is ready to move on with his personal life and focus on his acting career. Despite the challenges, he is committed to maintaining a positive perspective and embracing the future.
Swift and Alwyn’s relationship began in 2016 when they met at the Met Gala. Their romance became public in May 2017, following Swift’s separation from Tom Hiddleston. Throughout their time together, they managed to keep their relationship largely out of the spotlight, a testament to their mutual desire for privacy.
As both Swift and Alwyn move forward with their lives and careers, Alwyn’s decision to speak out marks a significant step in closing this chapter and embracing new beginnings. Breakups are always challenging, but Alwyn’s honest and grounded approach offers a hopeful perspective on navigating the complexities of love and loss.
