EVA Mendes has shocked fans with her appearance in a new interview.

The Hollywood star’s followers thought she looked unrecognizable when she sat down to chat with The Today Show.

In a clip from the interview shared on TikTok on Wednesday, Eva, 50, spoke about her family with Ryan Gosling, 43.

The Florida native had her light brunette hair in voluminous waves and showed off her flawless figure in a baby pink skirt, top, and cardigan set.

“It was like a no-brainer. I’m so lucky. And I was like, if I can have this time with my children. And I still worked! I just didn’t act, because acting takes you on locations, it takes you away,” Eva said of her decision to retire from acting.

“It was almost just like a non-verbal agreement that it was like, ‘Okay, he’s gonna work, and I’m gonna work. I’m just gonna work here.'”

In the comment section, however, fans were less focused on Eva’s words and more focused on her appearance, with many saying she looked completely different.

“My brain can’t process this is her,” said one fan.

“Is Eva Mendez in the building with us!?” a second social media user asked.

“Oh my god what the hell has happened to Eva Mendes’s face? Plastic surgery gone too far!!! She ruined her beautiful face!!” said a third, theorizing that cosmetic surgery was behind her looks.

“She looks like Rachel Welch wow,” added another viewer, referring to Raquel Welch, an actress who was known for Fantastic Voyage (1966) and One Million Years B.C. (1966).

“I saw an interview of Ryan Gosling and he literally said that his first crush was Raquel Welch…” claimed another in response.

‘ALL FOR IT’

While fans seemed shocked by Eva’s changed looks, the star has been open about her thoughts on plastic surgery in the past.

Back in 2021, after one fan asked why Eva had been quiet on Instagram, another responded, “She’s had work done and I don’t think she’s happy with it… she was beautiful without.”

Eva waded into the debate and clarified, “Hi. I’m actually taking time to really be present with my family so posting is not really a priority right now. Hoping you and yours are well.”

As far as getting work done, I’ll do that whenever I please.

She then alluded to her thoughts on surgery – but didn’t clarify whether she’d had any – by later adding, “As far as getting work done, I’ll do that whenever I please.”

Just a couple of days later, Eva again spoke on the subject after she came across a headline saying she’d “denied plastic surgery.”

“My friend sent me this. Regarding this ‘headline’… ummm… Kinda. Sorta. But not really.

“Never ‘denied plastic surgery.’ All I did was reply to a specific comment on SM. Would never deny that stuff. I’m all for it. All. For. It,” the film star wrote.

A year prior, Eva worried fans with a photo of a painful-looking procedure but didn’t confirm whether she’d had any permanent tweaks.

FAMILY FIRST

In her new interview, Eva spoke about how she’d stepped back from acting to focus on her family.

She and Ryan started dating in 2011 after they co-starred in The Place Beyond The Pines, with Eva seemingly confirming their marital status in 2022 after lots of speculation.

“Everyone is so welcoming here, and my husband, Ryan, is here, and we are having the best time,” she told hosts Karl Stefanovic and Allison Langdon on Channel 9’s Today in Australia.

The pair have welcomed two daughters – Esmeralda, 9, and Amada, 7 – but are very tight-lipped about their private life.
