Jake Paul: “Mike Tyson will be my next loser”

Jake Paul: “Mike Tyson will be my next loser”

Jake Paul added another victory to his boxing career when he defeated Mike Perry in a match at Amalie Arena (Florida, USA) on the evening of July 21.

YouTuber Jake Paul knocked down former UFC mixed martial arts (MMA) fighter Mike Perry three times before ending the fight in the sixth round.

Mike Perry was chosen to replace Tyson as Paul’s opponent on July 21. Tyson was originally scheduled to fight Paul at the 80,000-seat home stadium of the Dallas Cowboys (USA) and streamed live on Netflix.

But the heavyweight legend pulled out of the event due to health problems, so the fight was pushed back to November 15. The 58-year-old boxer is said to have suffered a stomach ulcer while on a flight from Miami to Los Angeles on May 26.

However, Jake Paul still sent a challenge to boxing legend Mike Tyson after defeating Mike Perry in the match on July 20: “Mike Tyson, the next loser is you. Sign the contract, I’m very excited and will go home to prepare for that match. The match will take place on November 15.”

Jake Paul had a dominant match against Mike Perry. With his size advantage, the American YouTuber easily knocked Perry down in the first and second rounds. Perry then couldn’t fight back and had to endure a fierce combination of attacks in the sixth round.

The 32-year-old Bare Knuckle Fighting champion then staggered to his feet, but the referee ended the fight and Jake Paul had another career-best knockout victory.

After the match, Paul was quick to praise his opponent for giving his all: “He was tough as steel, I apologize for taking so long. I threw some critical strikes and he took a lot of damage. I really like Perry’s fighting spirit.”

In addition to challenging legend Mike Tyson, Jake Paul also called out UFC light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira and challenged the boxer to a fight in the near future.

Jake Paul has now won four straight since suffering the first defeat of his short professional career to Tommy Fury last year. Perry is the fifth former UFC fighter that Jake Paul has defeated, joining Nate Diaz, Anderson Silva, Tyron Woodley and Ben Askren.

The YouTuber’s next opponent is 58-year-old former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson. The match takes place on November 15 at AT&T Stadium (Texas, USA).
