Kim was 19 when she married Damon, 29, and claimed on an episode of Keeping Up With The Kardashians she was high on ecstasy when they tied the knot.
They divorced after four years with Kim accusing Damon of battering her in court papers – claims he denies.
Speaking for the first time about her relationship with Damon and their son Dimas, now 16, Sarai said: “I was working as a coordinator for a fashion designer when I met Damon and it was magical when we started dating.
‘I begged him to help’
“I now know that there have been a lot of women in his life but in Hollywood it’s easy to pull the wool over people’s eyes. He was very intriguing
“He was talented – like the number one R&B producer in the nation, maybe the world, and he was very nice and sweet.
“It wasn’t out yet what Kim was saying. He was never cruel to me.
“But when I begged him to help me after I had the baby, to just give me some money to get back on my feet, he said he didn’t care.
“He told me if I went for child support, he’d never be in the little guy’s life.
‘He held him once’
“He held him once, when he was like a couple of weeks old, and he’s never seen him since.”
Sarai, now 43, first went to battle against Damon, 51, in April 2007, charging in a lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court that he failed to fork out support for Dimas.
She alleged that his music career, which saw him work with stars such as Justin Timberlake and Mariah Carey and on the Oscar-winning movie ‘Dreamgirls,’ had paid him more than $2.54million in the previous two years.
While Kim had worked during her marriage to him as a shop girl, Damon certainly seemed to be rolling in money.
“He had a huge home with a grand piano and a Lamborghini and Ferrari. He lived extremely glamorously,” Sarai said.
Money woes
According to official Los Angeles County court records reviewed by The Sun, in April 2011 Damon was ordered to pay Sarai $9,525 a month in child support.
“In the very, very beginning I picked up a check twice,” said Sarai.
After that, however, she claims he stopped paying regularly. Current court records, obtained by The Sun, allege that he owes her $1,476, 916.87.
‘It brings a tear to my eye’
“I am not the only woman who’s had his kid,” said Sarai.
Pointing to postings on Instagram where he talks proudly of his 13-year-old son, Damon Jr, she says: “Dimas is his son too. The DNA proved it, yet he’s never [publicly] acknowledged him.
“Dimas is so incredibly talented. He plays the piano, the drums, the electric guitar. It brings tears to my eyes.
“I hope and pray that one day Damon will be friends with him. I don’t want to do anything that pushes him even further away.
“But my son needs things. Like right now we’re renting. I can’t even afford a house.”
Money worries
Damon has been plagued with money issues.
In 2008, he settled a lawsuit filed by a car dealer, Elegante Leasing, that alleged he defaulted on bills of nearly $475,000 for a 2002 Ferrari 360 Spyder, a 2005 Bentley GT coupe and a 2005 Lamborghini Murcielago roadster.
Four years later, he filed for bankruptcy with records from Los Angeles court archives showing that he owed $3,589,088.81.
He claimed he only had $177,500 in assets – consisting of a 2005 Lamborghini Murcielago Roadster, valued at $170,000, and a few items of “household goods, ” clothing and jewelry.
He also declared that he had child support arrears of nearly $29,000.
The records show that $2,723 of this was due in 2007 for an unidentified child in San Bernardino County.
New record label
Damon’s troubles continued after his bankruptcy. He stacked up tax debts of over $366,000 and In 2013 he was evicted from his apartment after allegedly not paying $7,500 in rent.
The Sun has located Damon in an Atlanta suburb, where he has incorporated a record label, Thomas Krown.
When asked for comment, Damon told The Sun it was a “false story”, denied he was Dimas’s father and added: “I’m an amazing father who loves my kids and would do anything to protect my family.”
Christine Dachraou, his label’s chief financial officer, did reveal the label had signed her 17-year-old son.Asked about Sarai’s claims, she said: “I believe there’s something going on with that. I’m not sure how he feels about it. He’s been married [to another woman.] His ex-wife and him co-parent Damon Jr. They had an amazing relationship.”
Christine added that she could not comment on his finances.
Damon and Kim were married from 2000 to 2004, when the couple decided to go their separate ways, citing “irreconcilable differences”.
In divorce papers obtained in 2011, Kim claims that Damon was frequently violent during their union.
Damon was ordered to give Kim a one-off payment of around $44,000.
He has vehemently denied all her claims – saying that Kim made them up to get “a lot of money” out of him.
Christine added: “Damon’s never said a bitter word about Kim. He has been in Atlanta for three years.
